Warm but full of algae. But, still enjoyable. Nice place for families. Especially after season it's a perfect place to rest ,far away from crowds of the city . is enormous, and if you don't want to get wet in the ocean ,you can always swim in lagoa. My friend and I had life changing experience here it was that awesome, I highly recommend spending the day here. The only reason it's missing that 5th star is the rubbish littered across the sand. Its not like a landfill or anything, but certainly more that you'd like to see Exelente Excellent and beautiful beach. Perfect for kids. Amazing place with warm water. Great stop for people with little children. Bring and food as cafes/bars on either side of lagoon quite a long walk. Parking tricky so arrive early! Loved it. A wonderful place! Beautiful beach, going there since my teen years, lots of good memories. Maybe we experienced this on a bad day, but the was covered in litter and the in the lake is unclean. While I was paddling with my daughter human faeces cruised right past us, and later we also watched a woman washing out her toddler's soiled reusable nappy in the lake. It was also very busy and there were large queues of cars in the car park, so we decided to park in a residential street just up the hill. In fairness, the lake and is lovely to look at from a distance but I wouldn't bother spending the time trying to park and find a spot on the sand. We ditched after about half an hour and went to the stunning Praia do Meco about 10 minutes away instead. Very nice place both for those who like warm (swim in the river) and those who like ocean. Waves are furious but great. Sandy beaches. Beautiful place but it's a shame they closed the ingress at high tide from the sea. The in the lagoon now stinks and full of mosquitoes. I went there in the Winter. With the exception of a few waders like Coots, ducks and cormorants it was relatively quiet. It seemed like most of the migratory species had moved on. Beautiful place to spend the morning or evening. I'm pretty sure it must be buzzing in Spring and Summer. Muito bem para família com bebês..! But there is an old man trackin food car..who refuse to sell me ( black women with veil) a bottle of water..yes a bottle of water..!! I was with my two kids of 3-6years old..and he wasn’t neither look at me..just ignored me as a piece of shit…!!! So yeah I went to the restaurant near him..to get my things..but yes the man was RACIST and impolite for sure..!! I was there September 3rd 2024… the is very nice two Sperate side one for the ocean the other the lagoon very nice and clean..not full of ppl you can play swim relax or enjoy the natural beauty of nature 🤩🏖️ Ótimo Ambiente, para família e amigos.
