Patton Monument

Ettelbruck, Luxembourg Memorial park

One of the Best Places To Visits in Ettelbruck Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Well kept monument, currently undergoing some minor renovations for new landscaping. Just outside of Ettelbréck, but in walking distance. It's a nice memorial with a tank and monument to the liberation of the town. Worth a stop to see one of 2 monuments to Patton in the world. Bonito Memorial! We drove to see this monument. Passed by it 3 times trying to figure out how to get inside. There are no signs to let you know how to enter. We couldn’t figure out where to park. It was frustrating Small memorial place with a statue of General Patton - well made, as I could recognize him with dual revolvers and steel helmet on long distance - an eagle and some information. Nice monument to a great American general. Schöner Platz, gut hergerichtet sehr informativ 👍 As an American and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, it makes me very happy and honored to see communities and countries appreciate the sacrifices that American service members have made for other countries. This park is very clean, well organized, and very informative! I wish my grandfather, who fought in WWII was here to see it! M4A1(75) Sherman Dozer at the Patton Memorial Park, was placed here as a eyecatcher , and is probably one of the rare ww2 dozer Shermans left, ofcourse the dozerblade was removed. Parking is non existent, which is the only downside of the park and it's a really long walk from a decent parking spot. A very interesting memorial with an amazing statue and a Sherman tank. The Luxembourg and United States of America flags fly proudly side by side. Great point to visit if you are a history buff to learn about how General George Patton Jr., commander of the 3rd US army liberated Ettelbruck in Dec 1944. The monument is built in honor and remembrance of that day. Very lovely small square with information and monuments. There are a few parking spaces next to the square, there are just no signs, but you can drive down and you need to get to that side of the road first through the roundabout. It's close to the museum and the military ones in Diekierch, so it's a fun round trip for any history/ army enthousiast. Тихое и умиротворяющее место. Прекрасный памятник Герою второй мировой войны. One of those places you stumble upon and find out it's great. More of a WWII history than just Patton. Lots of interesting exhibits and orginal pieces. Highly recommend to anyone interested in local history and links to wider WWII Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
