Great Racetrack We enjoyed seeing this racetrack whilst staying in the nearby hotel. Did not see an actual but it looked really grand and posh place. Good entertainment but horrendous pricing for drinks. Edit July 22 - great day out but horrific pricing for food and drink. They know they have a captive audience and charge accordingly. Bring a packed lunch and wee hip flask with you. Hamilton park is one of my favourite tracks. I attended as an owner, as I have on a few occasions, and it’s always a great day/night out. Great viewing points for the track, friendly staff and well organised. The food in the owners restaurant is reasonable but other tracks offer better quality. Service was also a bit sloppy on arrival at the restaurant tonight. Having said that, overall it’s a great track and definitely worth a visit. First time go-er. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well set up, very spa cious. Plenty facilities for food, toilets and drinks. Very easy to place a bet. Lots of help and guidance from the many stewards and officials who are very easy to spot. First time back in 30 years.Great improvements. Nice hotel and great toilet facilities, bar staff very amendable.Would recommend this racecourse to everyone it's far excels Ayr. Came here Aug 2nd for Ladies night. Have to say weather was great, staff everywhere were courteous. Alexandra Burke played pre race. The course is nice and easy enough to walk between course and winners enclosure. Beer prices and food I'm not going to lie are tiny bit on pricey side. Might as well not Have the Heineken 00 shack .lol Definitely will go back Good day out. Food and Drink prices a bit high Pint £7.50. Annual Members bar a bit tired. Overall a good day out. Hospitality food? - more of a punishment than a treat. 'Dined' in the Dukes Experience' today and the food was truly awful. Tasteless starter of ham and chicken terrine was the highlight. A rapid nosedive into hideously overcooked pork with half a carrot in a vile sweet gravy with cherries and onions and sticky mash. . Urgh. Then when you thought it couldn't be worse a nightmare pudding made of 90% sugar and 10% glue, topped off with raw rhubarb and some grit. With some 'biscotti' on the side that had the texture of a duvet. Literally could not eat any of it. We had to book a restaurant elsewhere for the evening. The person who devised this menu should maybe try eating it, then apologise to everyone who suffered it today. GRIM! Staff were lovely though.
