It should be an obligatory element of the educational system in Slovakia, where people were taught that that were no Jews in their country. You need up to 5 hours to digest the information of this museum, even if you are a Jew and with historical education. This museum is so much needed in Slovakia. It belongs to a part of its history that is shameful but needed to know. the display of the information is really wellmade and thought. I particularly liked the contextualization of the whole conflict, including Nuremberg trials, Eichman trial in Israel, The Wannsee Conference etc. I also liked a lot the reconstruction of the workshops in one of the barraks, with photographies that shows you how real the recreation is. You need two or three hours to explore the exhibition and the space is quite small. We were able to visit 4 barracks, information in English but very small options in the Museum Shop if you´d like to buy books in English. Not a place easy to reach as the information signs are not on the right place, we went by car and missed the entrance. There is a lot of parking space and it is definetey worth visiting it. Fantastic museum, a little journey outside Bratislava, but well worth visiting. Very well organised, spacious, respectful. A very emotional experience. Great planning and attention to detail. Very informative and thought provoking. It is a punch in the gut to be in a place where such atrocities occurred However, I think it is very important to remember that ordinary human beings are capable of these atrocities. We need to be reminded of the importance of standing strong against hatred and inhumanity. The must-see place for anyone interested in the history of the Holocaust in Slovakia. If you browse through the five barracks you can get a glimpse of what life was like in the labor camps during WW2. This is a wonderful place. Mankind need to be reminded of what atrocities are human capable of. Exposition takes numerous international rewards for how it is being prepared contextually, visually and well explanatory. I went here in late July, very easy to get to from Bratislava. A train to Trnava, then another train towards Galanta where you get off in Sered'. When you arrive, google maps will tell you to take away that is a round about way on the road which is about a 2km walk. Instead you can walk across the train tracks, as the Museum is just on the other side. This will save you a lot of time if you do not have a car. The staff was very friendly and let me know what exhibitions were in each barrack, overall it was very informative and full on information on the Jews of Slovakia. An excellent museum discussing the fate of Jews and the Roma in Slovakia. There are a total of 5 or 6 parts to the museum but no signage so certainly plan for some time there Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
