What a nice place! First: it was so much bigger than we expected (not the miniatures)! Two really big dioramas and one that was a bit smaller. There is a lot to see, I don't think you can really see all the details in one day. Also there are a few jokes in the miniature world. This really surprised me. Fun place. Fits nicely with the to Rhine falls. Kids loved it. The miniature lindt factory dispenses real chocolate. Yum yum. Awesome experience. Easily accessible using public transport. Not far from Schaffhausen main train station , you can take a no 1 or 7 bus or even a train from Schaffhausen main train station. The entrance fee is well worth every Franc spent. It is indoors so weather is not a role player in your decision to go there. There is a place to hang your coats and lockers if you have many items with you. The attention to detail on all the models is outstanding truly unbelievable. I would highly recommend this visit. Enjoy the Miniature land worth a especially for kids and even adults can enjoy too The complete Switzerland in Miniature Form .. Loved It Its just meters away from Rhein Falls and Very very cool! Two very large rooms with so much to see. The attention to detail is astounding and in every scene there is a little bit of humor - look carefully! I was not able to find Bart Simpson in the display but had a great time looking for him. Kids loves this, all the trains and moving vehicles added to the experience. An amazing (predominantly HO 1:87 scale) model train layout with many 'easter eggs' in plain sight. A casual observer may not notice the topless sunbathers, hippie swingers in the woods, or the dinosaur eating an F-18. Bring the family and enjoy some scavenger hunting for the gems. There is free wifi, friendly staff, and a nice gift shop with toys and local crafts. Stunning miniatures with a great attention to details. The interactive experience where you press buttons and the miniatures start moving is also a nice touch. Definitely worth a if you go see the waterfall. Highly recommend this place you gotta go and see and look for surprises The craftsmanship on display here is amazing. The detail on show is remarkable and looking around the display there are little stories all over the place. Very entertaining and easy to get around. Not very crowded when we were there but I’d think of a large school party was there then it could be a bit rushed. A great surprise near the Rhine Falls! Went in out of curiosity and found that Smilestones is packed with charm, adult humor/hidden scenes, as well as intricate details of iconic Swiss landmarks. The moving trains, lighting effects, and playful touches made the whole experience very enjoyable! I visited this place in January 2022, which was just after the COVID period, so we still had to wear masks. I really loved it there, I walked around for over an hour. It’s a large, grand, and incredibly realistic miniature city. I never got bored because there were lots of little gimmicks in every corner. Many parts had mechanisms that allowed them to move. It’s a great place to take kids, they can practice observing small details and get excited by things like a helicopter that actually flies, a train that runs on tracks, or buses that move and stop at bus stops. I went on the weekend, and it wasn’t too crowded. Another highlight was a machine that gave out free chocolate for visitors. If you ever get a chance to Switzerland, I highly recommend going here. 😍We went by car, so I’m not sure about public transportation options. Absolutely amazing place. You can spend hours there exploring this miniature. Fun place to head to after a to Rhine falls! Good experience for children. Some of the moving elements didn’t work; but otherwise it was good Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
