Not a must see.. if you are in denmark.. but if you are around.. it is good. An incredible "salt processing" approach! Over the years I have seen/worked in various production facilities-- including mining, evaporation of sea water, etc. But the approach used in Mariager and environs is nothing short of amazing- when views from a "Creative Perspective"! About 5 kms (3 miles) from Mariager there is a "huge rock"-- measuring about 60 cubic meters -- at current use it will last another 21,000 years!! Small amounts of the "rock salt" are dissolved in and transported by pipeline to the facility and interesting displays located on Mariager's port. There heat removes the water- thereby producing salt. The facility- opened about 20 years ago- has many displays, tells a story about production and also displays many based products (which are available for purchase). There is also a warm "salt pool" which may produce health benefits. The associated restaurant serves "pleasant food"! I hope that this Review has been helpful! Klein ,aber interessant und informativ. Great museum. We really learned interesting things about salt, got to see how it is made (live demo) and could even swim in a with saturated water. This is great center, with a good shop to buy gifts in and very friendly employees. one of our favorite places here in Denmark for us. We visit it regularly and have a good restaurant too. The therapeutic effect of is very good💯 A little attraction of Mariager. Do not expect too much. Swimming is rather a my all but experience paid off. There is also a related exhibition, a boutique, and picturesque caffe shop. Und unbedingt das Salzbad nutzen, Badesachen nicht vergessen! Det er en hyggelig seværdighed, meget informativ. Deres saltbad er dejligt, slidt, men de er også ved at renovere og står klar i juli 2026. Deres butik var fyldt med gode souvenirs, krystaller, creme, shower og hjemmelavet i alle afskygninger. Amazing place with lots of activities and beautiful views Too expensive and everything is in Danish... The is cool, but looks extremely small! The layout is weird, it just doesn't know what it wants to be. So many ugly cinema chairs, a play corner for kids and much more in 20m2 while horribly put together... The mine itself isn't even a mine, it's a cheap horribly put together theme park ride that takes not even 5 minutes of your time. And everything is in control of 2 uninterested 14 year olds...
