This is the tourists for Innsbruck city. This place primarily acts as a center. Many tourists used to visit there looking for more info about the Innsbruck, tourists attractions nearby, history of Austria. There are some self service displays where you can read the history and culture of Austria and Innsbruck. In the souvenir shop many types of souvenirs are sold. Helpful staff. Plenty of free maps and other informative printed copies about Innsbruck and places nearby could be attained. We were there to buy Innsbruck cards. Now about the card, we bought the 72hours and the provides free access to 22 museums and other attractions including free use of public transport and sightseer hop-on hop-off bus. With the we were only able to visit 4 places - Swarovski crystal worlds, Nordkette cable car, Lumagica, Hofburg palace hence once you purchase the card, plan your day and stick to your schedule plus be cautious of the closing days/hours of the places in order to extract maximum benefit of the We were on Europe tour in May 2023. The streets are lined with colorful buildings, boutique shops, cozy cafés, and lively markets, all set against a breathtaking backdrop of the Nordkette mountains. It’s compact and walkable, making it easy to explore on foot. Whether you’re shopping, sightseeing, or just soaking up the atmosphere, there’s always something to enjoy. Perfect for both relaxing strolls and cultural discoveries. One of the most scenic centers in Europe! Thank you Maria at the Innsbruck office for helping me on July 8th for your helpful tips! The innsbruck 48hr was the best way to go about exploring Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol! Went there recently to make enquires about VAT returns on purchases. Older lady there was just amazing and patient with explaining the process and directed me to the right authority in Innsbruck, which then resolved my issue. Was thoroughly impressed and highly recommend coming to Innsbruck 😊 Insbruck centrum offers free for tourist. Infortunatelly is connected with services Tommy taxi. If you call to tommy and speak english, they tell you: German only ! and close the call. So you cannot use this service if you dont speak german. From.our hotel reception they called there, 3 drivers were absolutelly perfect, one totally crazy. He wanted let my son sit on unroped snowbord - i told him 1 day before we putted to the snowbord back without neccesarity to put seat down - he refused. I told him he should rope the anowboards, otherwise it can kill my child sitting next to it. He refused. Than he attacked me and left. I started video after his attack - how arogantly letting us and leaving. Than we went to Barcelona and again back to Insbruck - 2 times used no problem. Thirs day refused take us - this was this driver. I was never faced agains this kind is behaviour by any service supported by any in Europe, but I understand no-speaking German mean we are people of second category and they must show us. I believe - to search service with no English speaking dispeching must be really hard in Europe 2025. Sorry but this is nothing else than little racism agains people not from Germany, Austria and Swis. Helpful staffs and nicest office! We needed help for customs stamp before entering Switzerland on a Public Holiday. The staffs are super helpful, and patient and even helped us check and call to confirm which customs office is open. We visited this on June 14th morning. At first, we asked a younger counter about how to use the Innsbruck and most convenient parking location, but her service attitude and tone were very reluctant. After gathering at the center, I tried my luck to another member (Kaisu) for consultation. She was very and shared the travel with me. Additionally, looking at the time, she suggested that we can consider visiting the nearby Goldens Dachl, having lunch and then return to the before 1pm to join a guided walking tour. After that, walk to the cable car nearby to go to Nordkettenbahnen. Thanks to Kaisu's sharing, our family had a perfect day in Innsbruck. If I have the chance to go back again, I must remember to bring a small gift to thank her. Noted: The tour guide on that day was very professional and friendly. Thanks! 🙏 were clearly disinterested in assisting us as it was nearly for them to close. Shouted at us rudely to leave the after our purchase. If it was such an incredible, momumental pain for them to work overtime for even one minute, then they should consider closing earlier instead of being such absolute grouches. I purchased the Innsbruck primarily because it offers a 3-hour free bike rental at DIE BOERSE, around which I had meticulously planned my trip. Unfortunately, upon arriving at the store, I was informed that they do not rent out bikes during the winter season—a detail not mentioned in the official Innsbruck brochure. This oversight disrupted my itinerary, forcing me to spend several hours in a café reworking my plans. This experience was quite disappointing. We had an amazing in Innsbruck with so many and welcoming folks. However I would like to highlight an unpleasant incident involving the counter at Innsbruck main train station that marred our impression of the city. We made some purchases at Swarovski Crystal world and the helpful there guided us to get a departure stamp for tax refund at the counter at the station. We approached the counter upon leaving Innsbruck around 3pm on 22 Feb. The at the counter told me curtly that they do not process tax refunds, I continued to ask him where can I claim the refunds and he said I don't know and we only provide train information. I happen to have a question on my OBB train ticket and asked him about it. He gave me the answer which have been good for me. He then proceeded to make eye contact with the 2 manning the travel desk and car rental, spoke in German and all 3 of them started laughing while staring at me. I don't understand German but this gesture is really rude and even demeaning to me. I do hope someone looks into this matter as it affects the image of Innsbruck as they are the very faces representing the to tourists.
