Very nice cable car from Tux up to the mountains. Its worth going up with it and down on foot when there is a good weather. You can enjoy scenic views, fresh air and flocks of cows around :-) Up&down ticket is 18EUR for adults. Last trip down is at 16:30. A nice little village in the Zillertal that has a mountain cable car to the Eggalm which features a lot of hiking trails and a kids' area and water play area. The cable cars are well maintained and the climb is 1000m in altitude. The staff is very forthcoming and friendly. There is nearby parking and the climb and descent are affordable. The service is from morning to late afternoon. I love to visit Eggalm on my every trip here. A must visit spot for people who visit around this area. And in the evening you can see Skiers coming down and enjoy their time with APRI Ski Party, one of the best times for them to complete Ski driving day. There‘s a nice water playground next to the mountain station. Also plenty of hiking trails can be followed. For families with kids the Rosenalm and Spieljoch are nicer. Nice winter walk down from the top. I only gave it 4⭐️ because the morning views around Mayrhofen/Finkenbahn were better. Although it could have been weather related, it was sunnier then. The ski lift cabins are cute, only for about 2 people at a time. Nice views still. Absolutely stunning ski resort in the Zillertal valley. The vast skiing area, amazing valley with majestic peaks, combined small but cozy village are creating truly enjoyable experience for skiing! Truly worth visiting this place and enjoy the experience it has to offer. We choose to hike rather than taking the cable car! And the views were awesome!!!! I recommend ski trip from Penken to Eggalm, then a few times go down slopes on Eggalm, launch in Vogelnest and at the end move back to Penken or Mayrhofen...if you have "azuro" , you can have another best day..
