Beautiful and hiking areas. €5 entry fee but well worth it. Beautiful hiking through the forest. Excellent space, perfect for walks, BBQs, family days out. €5 to get in to the carpark (takes contactless and I think Revolut as there's a QR code reader, not 100% sure). Very well maintained. Public toilets are well kept. Picnic benches, permanent BBQs, a nice playground and then beautiful walks up and around the house. Also an ice cream van that does good tea and coffee (their opening times are on Instagram under "shannonices" so well run!) The house is a closed off ruin but you can go up the front steps for a beautiful view across the lake and lawn. Some walks are currently closed for works but still loads to see. Would definitely recommend bringing a good pair of walking shoes and a bottle of water. Lovely for walks or leisurely picnicing. Forest trails, benches, childrens play area, and open green area. Small coffee dock and public toilets. Shop in camping nearby. Curragh Chase Forest in Limerick is an amazing place with lots of greenery. Upon entry, you do have to pay €5. It has a green field where you can have a picnic or barbeque with your friends and family. There's also a children's playground. It has long walkways and a nice bridge. It also has a hill with an amazing view of the scenery of the park! I highly recommend people in Limerick and in other countries to visit this for a miraculous experience. Nice place for family outings or just a day of walking. Restroom needs investment. It is an amazing place for families, kids, lawn, bbq and relaxing. It's also kept really well but could use a few bins around the place. Disappointing that the camp and cafe is closed until further notice as the cafe was ideal for parents near the playground. Glad to have a van with icecreams and tea/coffee in the main in the mean time. The €5 charge is also very expensive to enter and the annual ticket should have stayed at €40 instead of the increase to €50 as there is nothing to justify the price hike. The €5 you pay upon entry is for the maintenance and upkeep of the park. If you're too tight to pay it then enjoy the walk. It's a lovely spot where you can go to feed the gummy swans But please...if you're feeding them bread, then have a little consideration and Chew it for them firt. They don't have teeth, so how would you like it? Absolutely love curraghchase have spent lots of time here alone, with friends and family. Love the way they have changed the management of the green areas over the last few years which means that a good variety of wild orchids can be found along with lots of other native plants.
