Lovely and stunning sea 😍 Great beach, nice white sand at the bottom, little pebbles to get to the water. Nude is at the end. We've been in Veli Žal in June 2019, we spent our 2 first days on Sakarun but due to being full of algae roots we decided to go explore the island and we came to Veli Žal, I would definitely say its the best on the island of Dugi Otok. There were just a few people around (see pictures) with beautiful clear for swimming with sand on the bottom. The is very quiet, there are not any food stands or attractions (at the time we were there, I didnt see any) so make sure to bring something to eat and drink as the sun is boiling hot. I would say the car is needed. There is a lot of space for parking and the road is fully paved all the way down to the beach, shouldnt be a problem to get there with pretty much any car. When you come down to "car park" you have to follow the small path (100 meters) to get to this part of the (on pictures), other parts are made of sharp rocks, so not very safe. Definitely recommend :) Beautifull clear blue sea, sand in sea.. must take sunshade! During the south wind waves brings sea grass in shallow. Nice bar Danica in shade with good food. i think is the best here in dugi otok, was not a lot of people, the parking is 8€ per day, and the bar by the is normal prices. Probably the best on the islands. All pebbles on the and fine sand in the water. Blue and clear water. We were there only 1 hour, since there is nothing worth snorkeling after since all is sand and small rocks. Ideal for swimming. Parking costs 20 kuna for 2 hours and 40 kuna for the day. Veli Žal is a beautiful and peaceful with crystal-clear and stunning natural surroundings. It’s clean, quiet, and perfect for swimming or just unwinding away from the crowds. However, keep in mind that there are no sunbeds, umbrellas, or shade to rent – so come prepared with your own if you plan to stay a while. Despite that, it’s definitely one of the best beaches in the area and well worth a visit! White pebble with crystal clear water. Magnificent views of the open sea, beautiful colors at sunset. Comfortable path from the nearby parking lot, non-disruptive bar. 2 chemical toilets nearby. Parking 15kn for 2 hours or 30kn for the whole day. Take an umbrella with you.
