Had my dog shipped over here from the states and the animal was where I picked her up in Frankfurt. A great team that cares for animals as if they were their own. They took her out and gave her some water that made her happy. Customs is right down the street. The gate is a little funky to get into but you can find it if you keep your eyes open. Well if you need someone to ship your animals this is the place to go. Great customer service! My experience here was with receiving 3 (2 snub-nosed). You have to wait until about an hour after the plane lands. Because the you need is with your dogs. You check in, then they send you to the Vet. Then you walk to customs and then back to the animal lounge. They check the and have you wait out in the parking lot. They then bring your out to you. It was about €300 with all the fees. I had the shipped to me, they didn't fly with me. Took about 2 hours once I received the until getting the in the car. Our cat flew via Frankfurt and spent the night in the animal lounge. We were quite anxious since he was there on his own and there isn't an easy way to contact them to ask for an update, but Tony in Wildlife & Animal Services kindly sent me an update at the start of his shift on how he was doing and when he would be taken to the plane. The cat arrived safely at his destination, so we're grateful for the part Frankfurt Animal played in looking after him. This december FRA airport services lost my dog for 8 hours, a bad trip to forget. Noone called me (the number was on the cage). Noone in the airport knows their phone number (they have none). Also they're in restricted Lufthansa Cargo area you can't access. Once reached after 5 exhausting hours, they delivered the dog to some other place (not where they told me). It took additional 2.5 h to finally get her. Big thanks to oversized luggage handling guys, you're real people out there. This whole airport felt heavily understaffed, angry, helpless. Pure chaos. On a good side, the dog was ok (much better than me). Thanks for caring about the dog, but come on. Our Two Dobermans Lily & Oliver and their cat sisters Rose & Skylar recently spent a week at the Lufthansa Pet Lounge. The foursome looked great and we’re happy. Thank you Pet Lounge. We are grateful. Love, Daryl & Jenny Wow, quite impressed by how efficient and kind everyone was. Great experience! We flew our dog from South Africa to Frankfurt with Lufthansa. We had a pet travel agency in Cape Town doing the preparations and then from Germany on we took care of it ourselves. We at first considered an import/export handler on the German side to help us with the process as the can be intimidating, but ended up deciding against it (to save costs). Just writing this to encourage anyone contemplating whether or not they can do this themselves. But if you have all the right from the vet etc it’s quite straight forward and people at the are very kind. My impression was that they really took great care of the animals there too. Just be aware, the and customs on the pickup day altogether takes a couple of hours, so plan accordingly. Tipp: drive, don’t walk from Tor26 (lounge) to Tor25 (Zoll/customs) and back as I read some people walked there, it’s a bit far for walking. Our dog had an 11h flight from Costa Rica to FRA, then a 4h transit and another 3h to Lisbon. We don't know exactly what the animal did during the transit, but there were very obvious signs that our dog had been taken VERY well care of, professionally! We wish we could thank the team in a different and more direct way, but this is a start. From our hearts, ❤️❤️❤️ and 🙏🙏🙏 The employees at the Frankfurt Animal took amazingly good care of our internationally traveled dogs! They also went WAY above and beyond to help us out when we got stuck in a bind. If we ever have to travel with our pets again we would definitely use Frankfurt Lufthansa Animal and cargo service.
