Despite the winds and the cold weather, it was a great experience to visit Skara Brae, both the village and the exhibition. The cafe is really nice to spend some time after the visit as the staff is lovely. The village is really moving you 5000 years before as you see where those people lived and died at the time and how life could be rough at that time. The exhibition helps a lot at understanding how they made their life and is very funny with a lot of little games. Much more organised since our last visit 25 years ago. ( there was only the Broch). Well interpreted and appointed with restrooms, Cafe, gifts hops, and a dual ticket in which you can see Skara Brae and the Skiall House. This is an amazing that can show you many artifacts that have been found, along with the actual that can be walked around and discussed with their staff that watch the structures and guests. It is most important to note that they are not reserving tickets for walk-in visitors and that there is a lot of bus tour traffic that can make it hard to get a ticket to see the site.
