Nice and quiet for the time of year we went, with a great attached cafe/restaurant that does a great Sunday lunch We called in for a cuppa and a cake, and was bowled over by how nice it was. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and our egg custards were delicious. The toilets were immaculate. Will definitely be calling in again, as the food menu looks very tempting!! We ate here this evening, after the England game (phew!) and we're very impressed. Very generous portions, served quickly, very pleasant and friendly staff, nothing to fault at all. We'll definitely be back later in the week. Good facilities. I got free access with the hotel I was staying at which is a great extra for relaxing in the afternoon. Last entry however is at half 7 so one night we couldn't get in which was a shame. We booked for a few days here as my husband has been ill and now on the road to recovery but I thought everything is quite near, which it is. We have loved it, we've been on the ocean to the Farne islands to see the seals, we've eaten exceptionally well both at the Indian Brasserie and here at the Ocean Club, where we had homemade pizzas but they were excellent. The whole long weekend has been amazing, thank you to all the staff around Seahouses and especially here at Ocean Club. 5* 😉 £17.25 for a veggie burger and a bit of side salad, wow. Was expecting something a bit special for that price, considering it didn't come with chips and we had to pay an extra £4.50 for boiled potatoes in skins. No seasoning or dressing on anything, very very bland and dry, absolute rip off, disgusting. We did mention this when they had the nerve to ask if we'd enjoyed our food. The pizza was ok, but only what you can buy in a supermarket standard. I cannot recommend this place, unfortunately we listened to others who did. Used the pool while staying on the caravan park , lovely pool. Two issues the lifeguard was sitting crocheting is this what she gets paid for, lets hope no one gets into difficulties. Some fathers may take their young daughter’s swimming so would need to take them into the male changing rooms to change, my son informed me that the male changing rooms didn’t have cubicles . Luckily I was there to take his daughter into the ladies changing rooms . Love it here. Very friendly staff and food and drink good quality Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
