Best pub in saltburn! Shame the sign is missing from the front! The chicken parmo's were top notch! We will be back, staff are sound as a pound! 😉👍 Feels like walking into a time capsule, not 150 years ago when it was build but maybe 1970s. Mix between a pub, restaurant and social club. Still offered a great selection of drinks including large gin options and even some craft beers. Quick and pints. Price was as expected. Worth showing your face if you are nearby with great views out the front of the seaside. little pub in a spot! Decent selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. Had a proper old school pub vibe with the decor and music. Was nice and casual and was easy to feel comfortable there. Loved that dogs were allowed in, nice thing to see! Sure we'll pop in next time we come to Saltburn :) Excellent food as always, but disgraceful behaviour by the Teesside 30+ Meetup group who created a bad argumentative atmosphere with the unfortunate manager and the waitress over food orders! So many people found it disturbing and left the place…Teesside 30+ Meetup group should be banned from the pub. Really food massive portion too. It was midday so wasn't expecting much atmosphere but met some really nice locals. Barman who served me was a really fella Dropped by on a weekday for a quick drink and snack. When we saw the menu we decided to have a proper lunch. Absolutely fantastic quality, portion size and service. Delighted with our choice. Nice, friendly in a 'safe' pub environment. Fantastic value for money. Nice pub and nice guiness but definitely the worst parmo I have ever tried. Tasted like turkey breaded fillet. Did not look like fresh battered chicken breast at all. And had random herb flavors . Just an awful aftertaste. We all tried it and all felt the same. And it was supposed to be a full parmo and barely looked like a half. It didn't get eaten. We won't be dining here again but would come in for drinks. Enjoyed a few pints of Jorvik before heading off for dinner Large no-nonsense pub, service, great pint of ale, well kept, well poured, value for money price 👍 Friday night was band night and the place was packed well before they made an appearance 👌 Definitely going back next time I'm in Saltburn 👌👍 Firstly, food gets a 5 star even though we didn't eat there. But the food that came out looked banging and there were plenty of customers ordering food. Says volumes really. Only went in there for one drink on our exploration of Saltburn-by-the-Sea but stayed for 3. A very comfortable place to spend a Saturday afternoon and probably every other day of the week too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Just been out with my cousin had a meal, the Steak and Ale pie absolutely delicious, the chips so tasty the presentation gorgeous the plates the bowls beautiful...we will be back. The staff so helpful & friendly 🫶 Called in for lunch whilst visiting the area and family. Plenty of seats / tables, would be great to sit outside on warm days Served quickly at the bar with drinks Good menu Food was excellent, really impressed, and prices were good Highly recommend Love this place and hit the jackpot with the Beer Pigs playing live 👌 Awesome 👌 Always a choice when in Saltburn Group of 14 pre booked and pre ordered so the food was pretty much ready for us arriving which was rather than waiting a long time for the food to arrive. Everyone agreed the quality of food was poor. The customer was quite nice with polite staff. Also for a group this size the biggest disappointment was that we were given 6 small round tables all separate. So we were unable to even sit together. Only 2 or 3 could fit at each small table. It’s a shame because we do these large dinner groups regularly and we would have came here often. But we all agreed not to spend our money here again and the amount we spend as a group is probably double their target for the day. more people should be eating here because the food was so and we were all very pleased, we sat upstairs in the cocktail bar not to sure what the atmosphere downstairs is but it was cosy upstairs, was and i’d definitely recommend very underrated spot Booked a Sunday dinner for two people for 1400. When we arrived said they had run out of Sunday dinners and offered alternative menu which didn't fancy nachos etc. Also informed that new system in place where only one meat is available on Sundays. Used to be very food here with choice of three meats and and service, obviously new system to maximise profits over customer service. I will give this place a miss in the future very disappointed. Food excellent, so was Ate her in a summer Thursday lunchtime. This spacious pub was surprisingly quiet. Cocktail lounge was well decorated. Meals were excellent value for money - the half parmo at £9.95 is well-sized with tasty chips and salad. Parking easy outside. Surprised more people not enjoying this traditional pub. This was our third visit when visiting Saltburn, and won’t be our last. Visited Beverley today, went in to Polly cafe. Was ignored for 10min although no one was before me. Blonde women just walking about behind counter & into kitchen. Walking past me like she could not see me. When she did decide to serve me. I was spoken to like she could not be bothered. Ask for two cups of tea was told give the food order first . Tried to give the food order . This women was horrible if she is the owner then she doesn’t care about customer service. In the end I ask her if I had done something wrong to her. We walked out then, this woman was horrible.
