Food, owners (who cook food), things near by (cooperage, woolen mill, other distilleries, other Scottish things - castles, bridges, Spey river, distilleries - yeah, again). Also it's dead quiet if that's what you want. Unless school has a football game on (not really, it's little kids). This is a really special place. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area, look no further- you’ve found it! From the moment we were welcomed through the front door, Cardu Country House felt like a warm hug. Colin and Sarah were so caring and helpful, the house is beautiful, and their food is fantastic. We slept incredibly well in the peace and quiet in a huge comfortable bed. To top it all off you can walk to Cardu distillery which offers great tours. We stayed as a treat whilst walking the Speyside Way so it’s in a great position for that too. The house was beautiful. Our host was warn and engaging. Delicious food, room was spotless with all the perfect touches that made it feel welcoming.
