Place is ancient, much history and you can feel it. Well preserved. Current owners take good care of it. Food is overpriced. The Autumn Medieval fare was really cool again. Entry cost 12€ p.P plus 3€ parking. It was well set up and plenty to do and see. Food was ok, but nothing special. The boss of the restaurant was not nice and was a jerk to us. Not coming here again! Quiet old castle with a really nice restaurant. There is an aviary with birds of prey which was amazing after lunch. Nice place to learn about medieval history. But all explantions are in German. Would be nice to have some information in English at least. What a wonderful place! We hiked here in February, arrived at around 4pm and had a very welcome beer and some food. It turned out that there were no taxis available to take us back to a town with a train station, so the super friendly barkeeper let us use their phone. And when that didn't work, she phoned her husband who came and picked us up and took us to the train station so we could get back to Berlin! such a kind thing to do, it really restores your faith in people and the world :) Sadly we didn't get to see much of the Burg, but it is beautiful and very atmospheric. We'll be back in the summer, and will plan the buses a bit more carefully next time... ;) Thank you very much for helping us get home!
