Also had sausage meat in potato fried in batter never seen them before they were a good size and very tasty, only £1.50 Every time I'm in Workington I always, ALWAYS visit Park Fisheries. Last Wednesday I ordered extra large Haddock, large chips, mushy peas and gravy, £13!!!!!!! Absolute bargain and it was cooked fresh, simply superb!!!!!! Cannot recommend highly enough. Ordered an non battered tonight. I was not advised that without the batter the would turn out dry rubbery. I only realised when I opened the box at home. I returned to the shop only to be told the fault was mine. I left the item with them and headed to another and chip shop nearby who explain things to their customer first and don't blame them. Always great and chips, always our first choice. Lovely shop...🙌🙌 I wanted to try this place as I'd seen good reviews so while on my travels I saw that it said it was open online so I went and it was closed and i also tried calling them but no answer. Shame really as I wanted to see what they were like. Avoid..Disgusting service. Fish are not cooked and you can see on the picture. are sobby. Paid 8.80 for medium and small chips... Went in here today Friday 18th December 2020 for tea for me and my wife asked for cod and and jumbo sausage . As we live in Cockermouth we took home to est wife took a few off my plate as portions were big went to eat my cod and to find it was the most disgusting smell off the was worse than the drains on a hot summer day. O close inspection found it was haddock paid £8.80 only for me to put in the bin I rang a few times no answer so must have closed i rang after 6pm don't know opening times. I been a number of times over the years . I will not be going in no more. This is a honest statement on my review about this shop Great & and lovely service. Will definitely be back and highly recommend Weekly treat, always delicious 😋 Staff don't seem to listen. On two separate ocassions ordered chips, cheese and gravy with no salt or vinegar. First time they forgot the gravy, second time they forgot the cheese and put vinegar all over it...despite reading the order back correctly. Such a shame because the food is great when they actually get it right! Beautifully fresh with chicken curry for £6. Iv had the steak pie too and it's beautiful. Tall chap behind the counter is very polite and friendly. My new favourite chippy. Ordered a large portion of and chips, cheese and gravy and a battered sausage. Spoke with the owner over the phone around 3pm to pre-order when the store opened. She was so accommodating. When food arrived it was piping hot and absolutely delicious hence the 5 stars. Went for the first time today and the and were excellent. Nice clean food. He even through in the mushy peas for free as I forgot to initially order them. Went for tea last night. Cumberland sausage gravy for me plus extras for family. Food lovely and clean and great portion. Friendly staff always. Had the in the past. Cooked to order so not dried our. You got to try it.
