Thr ground is good standard and plenty of area of walking. Hill side is good got sitting on. Areas of tent is in middle of 2 big stages and bars surround. Walk inside is on hard ground. But spongy when wet. The concerts are well run by local council that has buses on to bring people up to thr mountains. People all have fun without too much drunkeness. Music sound is put out well so it does not interfere with adjoining stages. Easy walking distance between each act. Great up in the mountain. Cosy feeling with both younger and older crowd. I got a great time thanks to BBK's good organization and its staff, but I would say that there are some things that need to improve: - Bathrooms need to be washed more often - People have to respect the environment. If you brought it, you can take it back with you. - I would like to add one more improvement but I'm chilling at the top of the camping hill ✌🏼 Great - wristbands (they used a 'cashless' system so you had to top-up money into the wristbands) had to be claimed at San Mamès Stadium and then you had to follow the tiny, tiny signs outside the stadium leading to the free shuttle bus that takes you to the campsite. Be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting for the shuttle buses to the campsite and site. Also, some shuttle buses will drop you off about 700m from the site so you'd have to walk uphill for a bit. We took the camping option and brought a tiny tent. After the first day at the we accidentally waited for a shuttle bus heading to the city instead of the campsite due to lack of proper signage and English-speaking coordinators. At night it is super cold and around 10am in the morning your tent will be an oven. A lot of people brought their sleeping bags and air mattresses to the park next to the campsite to continue sleeping. If you have the money please opt for the Glamping (with proper beds and special VIP toilets and showers- we couldn't stand the smell of the portable potties of the 'peasant' toilets) or capsule room option or stay at a hotel in the city (there is also a free bus that takes you back into the city). As there are no power sockets the powerbank rental is 20€ and it is not worth it unless you are very desperate. We wished we had brought along a solar-powered charger for our devices. There was also a mini pop-up Carrefour market on the camping grounds for your daily needs. Expect over-priced food and beer (saw people drink litres of alcohol before they went into the premises). Beautiful venue, amazing performances (even though some main acts' overall sound was not balanced- maybe soundman problems?). Really wish there was a big banner with performance timings, who is performing at which stage etc because not everyone has phone battery to constantly check the Bilbao BBK App or Instagram.
