This is s pretty place with plenty is shops etc. Usually it is fairly quiet but Congress too life on various occasions linked to reformation tag and other Luther orientated festivals The time I went was quiet and not many people were walking around. Nevertheless it was fun just by walking around to see the historical building. There were shoplots just along the way with choices of food, ice cream, souvenirs, etc. I can't say much about the shopping here since everything was closed until the tourist season starts, but it is a nice town with a lot of shops and historical sights. It was fun to just walk around it. Beautiful day to volunteer in Wittenberg! May the Lord be with this community ✝️🇩🇪 Nice little town about an hour and a half from train ride from Berlin. Lots of beautiful architecture and history of Martin Luther. Went for the Christmas market though. It was a nice getaway. Traditional Christmas Market. A great place for Gluhwein, Bratwurst and other traditional tasties......even fish and chips!! All this and a ferris wheel under the the shadow of the Stadtkirche where Martin Luther used to preach and the Town Hall in the main market place. A Charming town and world heritage UNESCO site. Because the scale is from 1 to 5 I can give 4 stars but its is a really picturesque place It's a public square, so expect all that space. That big silver ball in the corner was cute. The little relief map on the SE corner was also interesting.
