You push the button once and you get long enough for a quick shower, twice and you have a luxurious shower. Walking distance to the train station and £7 for a return ticket to the centre of Edinburgh. The staff are so nice you would have them over for Christmas dinner. I paid £12 a night as a backpacker. It's in a good location with a beautiful viaduct overhead. Personally I found the ground awful for pitching my tent: the grass was more like moss and barely an inch deep before I hit hardcore/stones. I'd highly recommend bringing a mallet and the longest pegs you own. Regardless, the facilities were clean and good quality, with a laundry room you could sit in out of the bad weather. Great Caravan park to camp at, close to bus stops for ease of access to public transport. The bunnies running about were adorable. Toilet and shower facilities were great. Great site with well maintained lawns and trees. Facilities were clean and tidy too. Only stayed one night at short notice en route to start the NC500. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Fantastic place to visit Edinburgh from. Trains on the viaduct next to the camping are inaudible, and the facilities are pretty decent although they could be modernized and cleaned a bit more. Connection to the city is great using public transport, especially the busses. You can take line 29 to get right in the centre of the city in 30-45 minutes. Owners are also kind. A fabulous place to stop over, even when we did so in during a veterinary emergency with our dog. Compassionate and caring staff with great facilities and laid out well in a lovely environment. Wonderfully located for a variety of eateries and also nearby is a large Tesco with a PFS and other fast food shops so no one needs to go hungry. Excellent caravan and campsite in a lovely location. Riverside walks just across the road and two train stations within 20 minute walk to get into Edinburgh in 20 minutes. Shower facilities and laundry on site. Owners are lovely as is Tess there warden! We will stay again and recommend to anyone looking in the area. (Edited review to add picture of this stunning site 😍) Marilyn was such a star! It’s a great location and she was very kind and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend the place more highly! Great stay, staff really friendly and a clean site. Facilities are not spectacular but are more than sufficient and are clean. Only issue was other people staying not knowing how to use a toilet brush.
