I’ve had loads of done here and Deb and the (especially the lovely Keith on reception) are amazing. They can tackle complete remodelling of evening dresses to hems and trouser alterations. Not only that, they are really nice people and a joy to visit! Lovely service from Keith! The were perfect, done on time, and very affordable. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommended! I’m disappointed to be writing this review but unfortunately I don’t feel like I have much choice. I took my wedding to Havant Tailors, and the started off well. The seamstress did a great job altering the bodice and it fits perfectly. However, after a few visits, my experience changed. The were hostile, uninterested, and openly moaned about other customers. On one occasion I was told my was ready but when we arrived they were still working on it. We waited an hour, during which the seamstress made a mistake and aggressively tore the stitching apart in front of me. I felt uncomfortable by this point, but knew was running out to find another tailor, so decided to trust that the end result would be ok. The day I went to collect my dress, no one offered to help me or make sure I was happy. While my Mum was helping me sort the out, she found a large seam in the which hadn’t been sewn up. They said it was a mistake and offered to fix it if we left them to it for a bit. By this time, I just wanted my back, so we let them fix it but then collected it and left. When I got home and tried the on properly, I noticed that most of the work to take the up had not been done. There was still a pin in the skirt where it should have been taken up, the was filthy and the stitching was awful. When we called to complain, they said it wasn’t their fault, I should have chosen a that suited me and that it would be a ’10 minute job’ to put it right. They did offer to do the work if we returned the dress, but I wasn’t prepared to do so. Havant Tailors had my beautiful, brand new wedding for 15 weeks and charged me over £200. I’ve attached some photos of what I was left with. They didn’t treat me or my with any respect, and I’m very sad about that. What a fantastic find .. it’s like walking back in .. beautifully fitted decor and it’s local . From my first visit I was made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, despite working so hard in the run up to Christmas. Wonderful service and excellent job on my lurex green shirt from the glamorous Debs and her of girls including Lisa . Just going to pick up my second alteration , I would highly recommend Havant Tailors , professional and lovely people. I’m so pleased and thankful for the who tailored my skirt. I was invited to an Indian wedding and was worried my skirt would be too difficult to tailor. Once I took the skirt in the immediately reassured me. They took the correct measurements and they’ve done an outstanding job to the skirt. I would highly recommend the Havant Tailor for any clothing alterations. They altered the length, made the straps tighter and put on a bustle. Once altered initially, I needed it loosened slightly and they fit me in quickly and were more than happy to get it perfect. The work was excellent and you wouldn’t have been able to tell it had been altered. They were all so friendly and helpful. Three attempts had to be made to complete my as mistakes were made. I remained cheerful and friendly with the there, despite feeling very disappointed. One member of staff made it clear that she has worked there for 12 years and finds it hard to deal with members of the public now as she has lost her enthusiasm to provide a good service. I was lost for words. Amazing at The Havant Tailors. Altering a bridesmaids to fit perfectly, my wedding and on another gown. The could not have been more helpful and were knowledgeable in every aspect of making the dresses and coat perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and I will be going back and again. Thank you!!
