Spent a wonderful hour walking round the which is staffed entirely by and only asks for donations rather than an entry fee. Ended up coming away after visiting the shop with 2 plates and a keyring so a very fruitful hour for us! Interesting place to visit. Good cafe with shade and Black Arrow rocket history plus small aircraft flying in and out. The staff and are friendly and knowledgeable. They all looked happy to answer all the questions my teen asked them. Considering how close it was to a recent terrible accident, their professionalism was outstanding. Was more than happy to give a donation to this small but packed museum. It was appreciated being able to touch the history there. Good value in the gift shop too. Heard about this from a fellow guest at our hotel who told me how interesting this was. We decided to check it out and were not disappointed. One of the very friendly gave us a guided tour. He was very knowledgeable. Well worth a donation. It’s free to enter. Great little museum, with detailed displays. It is free to enter (you can leave a donation) the are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There’s a flight simulator there which gives you a Birds Eye view of the Island.
