This place has a really special location leading down to the sea. We stayed in Coastal retreat cabin 28, Carisbrooke view Premier. Booked last minute so got a good deal. Located right at the beach front. Beautiful views. Very peaceful. Although lodges are very close. A couple of minutes walk and you arrive at the retreat next door, where there is a bar, we ordered pizza and had cocktails. The cocktails and pizza were great and the staff were friendly. Just a bit of a wait, they looked like they could of done with another helper. The itself was very roomy and had everything we needed. Unfortunately though the is a little run down, needs a serious deep clean. It is not luxury by any standards. The grouting in the bathrooms need replacing, the absolute stink of dog was overwhelming in the bedrooms, so I suggest the carpet is ripped up. The kettle was in desperate need of a descale. The washing machine needed a good clean and I left it in a better state than when we checked in. I'd of been complaining if I had paid full price. If you can get past the grubbiness, or get a good deal, what a wonderful place! Amenities include a fully equipped gym for those looking to maintain their fitness routine during their stay.  Second time visiting. Also stayed last year. Wasn't such a quiet retreat as before. With a family playing loud music during the day from their lodge. Staff aware as driving golf carts regularly around. The music could be heard from all areas on site. Also hubby slipped in the shower and had to go to a&e. Shoulder injury and large bump on head. I asked for bath mats. And was told should already be in bathrooms. They were not. So reception gave me 2. And as we had already booked extended stay. Having to change lodges. Luckily I took the the mats with me. As none in new lodge. 3 reception staff nattering, didn't ask me how hubby was. Lovely pizza from the pizza oven. Bar staff friendly. Luckily walking distance to the beach. As hubby unable to drive for a few days Lovely little retreat without the hustle and bustle of larger sites. The was a good size for our group and would easily accommodate 4 adults and two kids in 2x double and 1 x twin rooms. As with all rented holiday accommodation, don't expect the Ritz, you are going to get a few scuff marks here and there, but the was well equipped and our needs were met, very plug and play. The outside is peaceful and the deck area with hot tub coupled with the sounds of nature was just great. Overall a great comfortable bolt hole to explore the island from. Lovely here. Access to the site is simple & in a quiet location. No disturbance which was great. 10 mins away from Fishbourne Ferry which was ideal. About 15mins from Newport for the nearest big shops like Tescos/Sainsburys. Stayed in the Premier Osbourne Pet Friendly and was very spacious, great cooking spaces and the hot tub was a bonus. Great selection of pots & pans though could do with some tongs! Wear and tear to the floors which isnt a big issue. Floorboards in the kitchen area was a bit squeaky but soon got used to it! Bar isn’t open Tuesday & Wednesday which wasn’t a big issue as plenty of pubs/restaurants around. Would definitely again! Really enjoyable - completely clean and lovely spacious facilities. Nicely situated next to woods and within minutes of beach. Great sea view. Hot tub was functioning well and daily water tests from site staff to check safe. Well catered for dogs. Nice touches with courtesy dog treats. Early phone call to let us know early availability. Would definitely again! Fantastic place to on the Isle of Wight. Really nice, well kept and tranquil site. Lodges are lovely, spacious and really clean. Private hot tub and own beach for walks were also superb. Highly recommended and would again.
