This park is full of locals who seem to live there. It is not the friendliest of places. The pool has been drained. When we stayed the caravan we were in had run out of gas and the owners did not replace it. So we went all weekend with no heating, hot water or place to cook. When we went to the clubhouse we were told they weren't serving food as they had an event on. That's after they ignored us. No wonder they have signs everywhere saying, recommend us. Sandown toen was beautiful. The fish and chip shop was amazing. Everything else was very nice but I would never stay here again. Booked a holiday here for the first time as it suited our needs. The site was in the perfect place for what we had planned. The staff treated everyone as they had known you for years and did the other holiday makers and residents. The site has an outdoor pool open daily. A bar that serves food and they also have activities going on through the week to. This is such a great place we have already planned our next trip there Stayed at red squirrel lodge for 2 weeks early June.We absolutely love the island as family live there and I spent many happy hols at my grandparents as a child.The caravan was in lovely clean condition and we were amazed at all the storage space available.Everything was included for our stay,and everyone very friendly! The park is peaceful and quiet and very well maintained.Sitting on the decking with a nice cool drink was heaven in the evenings. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely stay here again. Lovely quiet park with beautiful walks on the doorstep. Only a ten minute drive to the beach and all it has to offer. Great bars & cafes to sit and have coffee or lunch and take in all the sea views. Ideal place to take your furry family. Fantastic roast dinners on a Sunday in the McCarthy’s bar. We’ve just got back from a 5 day stay at Red Squirrel Lodge & we will definitely be returning! The lodge itself is lovely & clean & a good size. The Park is really quiet & well maintained, we didn’t hear any noise from other people or the clubhouse. The location is ideal as it’s only a 10 minute walk to Sandown, it was a very nice relaxing stay.
