Peaceful place with huge near the city center of Nicosia The belong to the monastery of Agios prokopios . The are in the grounds of the monastery and are enclosed by a wall with just the one entry point. You can visit the monastery but it has limited opening times 6am - 11am Such a lovely and peaceful place! It’s almost impossible to imagine such a place in the middle of the town and next to the main road, to be that quiet and relaxing. The grass plants and trees are very well maintained. Everything is clean. Very nice and pleasant green areas. And there are some nice there. What a pity they are kept in the cage. But they’re beauty is admirable anyway. I suggest to have a walk there, even for a short time. This is a very well-maintained park! Very safe for children, it is surrounded by walls! It shuts at sundown. Unfortunately you are not supposed to walk on the grass. It has two separate enclosures, one for and one for animals. It is very tranquil but is still surrounded by traffic noise. You might encounter wedding or christening guests by the church, just ignore them and head to the gardens. Quiet, lovely to walk around. Bathroom on the facility open to public but difficult to find. This is a functioning church but it seems only on Sunday morning. The rest of the time it is a sprawling park for everyone to enjoy in the middle of a big city. It was established in the late 1800. Located in the buzzing heart of Nicosia: The of Saint Procopius inside the Metochi of Kykkos feel like an Oasis! It is a quiet and picturesque place with much needed heat to escape the scorching sun of Cyprus during the hours around midday. But it's advice to better visit during the afternoon for a better experience. In these you will also find a small Aviary with such as Black Swans and even Emus! There is a central big fountain and many other smaller areas where you can relax. One of the bigger churches in Nicosia. A great venue for weddings and christenings. Grand interior with some very nice paintings. It has air-conditioning and can be utilised during the warm months of the summer. Although not in the city centre, the parking is again limited and would recommend if visiting especially on weekends I'd recommend taking a taxi. A truly oasis in the middle of the buzzing city, get a break from it all and walk around the olive, lemon and orange trees. Very good place for walking ✨ Beautiful gardens, shame that they don’t allow dogs even on leash A big green park full of beautiful trees and flowers. Nice place to relax. There is a small bird zoo in the courtyard. I was excited to go to this park because of the abundant greenery, but unfortunately the animals did not look like they were taken care of. The were thirsty and didn’t seem to have any water to drink, and there was a lot of trash lying down on the way to the toilets. Animals are living beings and deserve much more care than trees and grass. The bird cage near the toilet has 0 greenery in it and it’s filled with little birds, it’s a shame. The park itself is fine but the animal welfare isn’t. In one of the cages they had a bunch of roosters locked in with some doves, and I counted at least 5 dead ones just lying around. Anyone who knows anything about poultry would know not to have a group of roosters with these poor birds. Do better I went to the for a walk and the area is decently maintained. What is unacceptable is the living conditions of the animals that they have there. There are two areas one with and one with chickens. It's disgusting how they left those animals there with minimum attention. I hope now that they sold the whole opposite of the for many millions to at least fix where the animals live.
