When you see people queuing, you know it’s worth it. In place to eat in Nicosia. Tasty pastries, aromatic coffee, vibrant atmosphere and prompt service. Do visit as well worth it!! We have tried the bougatsa here which it was tasting but not a lot of filling, which it was a bit of a let down. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was good. They have a great selection of other cakes, and also had a big selection of tsoureki. What past & politics divide, the cuisine traditions really unite !! The greatest combination of Ottoman pastries & the special local touch, of course :) The Cypriot Ekmek Kadayıf is sheer delight for both Oriental & Eastern European cuisine/patisserie lovers!! And the Bougatsa is the tastiest I've had in Nikosia. Not to mention the friendly staff & atmosphere I absolutely adored - it's totally my kind of café!! I'm so grateful to the nice waiter who recommended it to me !! 😊 A nice bar by the checkpoint with various choices of pastries and good greek coffee. Only they might take a bit of time to take your order and bring it. And the washroom wasn’t that clean. But You’ll enjoy the presence of a pretty parrot, and tasty sweets, in my case eclair. 😋👌🏻 Excellent and patisserie with high levels of sugar :) near the checkpoint All the cakes look very delicious. The two we chose were super tasty 😋 It has a nice old-fashioned decoration to it and the menu is mostly Cypriot pastries and desserts. We tried the biscuits, the cheese pie, the cheese and ham pastry and their Cypriot coffee. They all tasted fine, for the price it’s pretty good. Lovely place, good salty snacks and sweets, one of the best Greek coffees I've had. If you want to feel what it's like to be having next to barbed wire in the shade, this is the place. It makes the division of the island ever so present and real. Great, authentic food and amazing Greek in authentic pots by the Ledra street crossing. Good for experiencing culture with a section of the border wall visible with barbed wire and sandbags. Inside are pictures of celebrities and world leaders who have visited. Must stop in Nicosia.
