Another 5* review - wow, we are on a roll now! Lunch was amazing - superb value, presentation and taste - faultless service. Unfortunately, no apple pie and custard - gutted! No service charge - yes, we did tip (always nice to allow adults to decide a tip!). Highly recommend this establishment. well, my father in law booked a table for his 70th birthday meal.. I was a bit skeptic about going, as I used to go to the pub 20 years ago.. The bricklayers are now one of my favorite pubs/ restaurants.. it's got so much going on with entertainment, bingo, and lots more the decor is absolutely stunning, atension to detail everywhere you look, from table ware, light fittings and furniture.. I was blown away with how nice it was.. the garden are clean, seating areas, with lots of places to sit outdoor if it rains The were talkative, kind, and helpful The food was top notch and selection of ales and spirts.. I cant wait to go for a or even a bingo night this place is by far my favorite in the erea Came here on one of our random Sunday picks for food. Easy to find with a car park across the road. Service was and and the food was good. Prices are not too bad and food came our really quick. Would love to come again and try the normal, weekly menu and see what else this place has to offer. Excellent family Sunday lunch. after our walk, well looked after. First of all, the pub/restaurant is very easy to find and has a car park. Me and my dog had a warm welcome from the team and so did my friends, when they arrived a couple of minutes later. The pub is much larger inside than I expected. Really beautifully decorated and furnished, with lots of space. We were there at time on a Thursday, so it was fairly quiet. But there's plenty of room for busy weekends. The food was very tasty and well prepared and was served fairly quickly. The were and attentive, without being intrusive. The majority of pubs in the area don't seem to be dog friendly. Here, they were very welcoming to Bruno black Lab. Dogs can go in the bar area but, obviously, not the restaurant. It was a time and we will definitely go back. Bruno loved it too, especially when they brought him some ham. Yum yum ! The chicken pesto pasta was absolutely delicious! Others members of the party enjoyed their food as well. Service was and friendly. Despite preordering as a larger group there were still some items we had ordered unavailable which was frustrating but the were able to sort something out. Inviting pub with who make you feel at home. Decent menu with something for most people and the food is excellent (as are the prices). Have dined a few times here, not had a disappointing meal, everything perfectly cooked, nicely presented and crucially, tasty. A example of a local pub. Paul and the team are lovely. Food was plentiful, tasty, and value. Thanks for accommodating us as we were early for our reservation. Will be back. Excellent service every time. We go for Sunday lunch. It takes around 45 minutes from where we live but it is totally worth the journey. Starters are quality and quantity. The Sunday is simply the best. It is filling, well cooked, you get extra gravy which is a nice touch. The are pleasant, friendly, attentive. The out gets extremely busy on a Sunday but this does not impact on the quality of food or service. Well done to all the for their hard work, and professionalism. Highly recommended but would advise to book especially on a Sunday. First visit today as it was Burger Night (Wednesday). The choice is good, beef, lamb, chicken and veg burgers. Food is very good, tasty and portions, the onion rings are huge. The are lovely, and helpful. I will be back. Came here with the bike club, liked it, so brought the family over for a & a pint. A comfy place to sit, eat, drink & chat. This is a little pub, with excellent food. We went on a Saturday evening as a walk-in and they were very accommodating and found us a table. The serving were really polite and and the eating area was nicely decorated and clean. I had Garlic and Thyme lamb and my wife had the pie of the day and both were really tasty. They came out in time, on clean plates and were nice and hot. We both had desert too and these were also really good. The price is reasonable and there is also a decent sized, free carpark opposite for patrons. All in all this was a pub for a and I'd happily recommend it if you're in the area. Very and a meeting place for my friends Went for daughters 18th birthday for a meal, it was absolutely beautiful, delicious food! size portions we struggled ti finish and amazing prices! Will definitely be back! We went for Sunday roast, it was the last sitting of the day and the roast potatoes were a little hard (not crispy) hence the -1 star. Stopped in at for something to eat. It was quiet, but we really enjoyed our meal. The service was and the prices were very reasonable. We have always passed and seen how busy it gets here and always said to pop in at some point. I'm so glad we have now done so! We went here at time on Friday and was amazed with the amount of choice as they had 3 menus available, which made the food choice even harder to decide on. We didn't wait long for food and we were all so happy with our choices! The food looked and tasted amazing! We really enjoyed our meal! I managed to take pictures of my own food as everyone tucked in as soon as the food arrived. I have Hunters Chicken and a side of Halloumi Fries. Both were incredible! The are very and attentive which always makes the experience better. We will definitely be back in the future! We visited this pub yesterday and what a wonderful experience we had, the land lady and team are welcoming and very accommodating. The pub itself is and has a true village feel about it. The beer garden is And well maintained especially given this was the first sunny day we have had, it was to sit outside enjoying the sun. I highly recommend this village pub to everyone and we will be spending many a Saturday and Sunday afternoon there from now on. Thank-you for such hospitality.
