The place was a good size and had really good acoustics for an opera, which I want to. I saw King Roger, a Polish classic. I enjoyed Rozana's peformance a lot. Pics are better at night and the interior decor is generic to many and ballet halls. Overall a good experience and will go again if in town and shows are on. A great local theatre , which understand has been recently refurbished. Close to a town centre in pusnan Eastleigh accessible by many AV.Trams and buses that transverse the area. The theatre is comfortable and attractive. We saw a great modern ballet here. Would probably recommend. Slightly more formal dressy attire, if one visits, although not. a distinct requirement. I think it's an event and a statement. Drinks seem a little pricey, however, it is an event, and they have a captive audience. I was only admiring the exterior of the theater. One of the best point of photography would be going across the road and take the photo just behind the pool of water to get a perfect reflection of the building. I was taking the picture in August beforeor 10a.m. in the morning. Good small theater. Though only 3 toilet cabin, so huge line during entracte. But I did not like the new version of Faust. This is a teater for performance like a opera. Not big, therefore you can hear music and voice very clearly. It was hard to find anything to like in the performance, to be honest. The orchestra, while not playing badly, didn't convey the Polishness of the dances, which must be performed with aplomb to be effective. I also felt that the conductor's work with the singers wasn't very evident. I say this because at times you could hear that the chosen tempo was too fast for the singers, and that they were barely breathing, struggling to keep in time. Speaking of the director's ideas, she should be ashamed of them. Why hire a choreographer if there weren't any "traditional" Polish dances, if the singers just jiggled and flailed like crazy? The set design may have been innovative, but it brought no beauty or depth, only dirt to the magnificent Polish tradition. And the costumes... simply a pile of crap. Men in stockings is not a joke that makes me laugh—it makes me want to cry. Where does the go from here? The theater has a distinct aura of an old hotel (which is not a complaint, just an observation) and, what is not that common, comfortable seats. Cool place to visit. Good opera. They had English subtitles for "Turandot" opera, probably has them for other ones.
