This is an unique venue in North Wales. I visited the venue for a wedding. The set up of the site for functions is very practical, with bar, restaurant, cafes, chapel, accommodation and various walks are all on site. The staff were extremely helpful. The drive down to the village is a little steep. There is a large carpark. A descent down to the small car park. There is a £2 charge for parking (honesty box). We found the small visitor centre and cottage by following the signage. The overlooks the sea. There is outdoor seating. We had butternut squash and chilli soup for lunch at £7.50 pp with a choice of brown or white bread and butter. We sat inside. The bread was fresh and the soup was very nice. A jug of water and 2 glasses were also provided at no cost. The staff are very helpful. The footpath to the is quite and unsuitable for the less able. To avoid the stairs down it is possible to use the right hand path but there is a locked gate to negotiate. There are a few picnic tables here and there. Down the path to the and along the coastal path a few yards or meters, to the left, there is a circle of small rocks suitable for use as a fire pit. We sat on the for a short time to watch the Terns fishing. Fantastic location in an old quarry. Renovated as a residential centre for learning Welsh, it's great! Nice and gift shop on site that's open to the public to. Direct access to a pebble beach. Wild goats, pine martens and lots of birds to see in the area. The site is a mile walk from the nearest village. Always a delightful place to visit, with an excellent café for food and drink. This site is always being updated and developed, most recently by the felling of the commercial pine trees and the installation of a very footpath from the top of the valley down to the cottages and café. There is lots to learn here about the Welsh language and the history of the village in the valley. There is access to a pebbly down a track beyond the café, which features industrial relics from the valley’s past. There is a parking charge of £2 which can be paid in an honesty box. A sign close to this explains precisely what the money raised will be used for. A wonderful but walk down to Nant Gwrtheyrn. A gravel and stone path leads down from the free car park at the top. The path meanders its way down staying close to, but not on the road, and has stunning views all the way down. The is pebbles but is wonderful and secluded. There is a circular walk back around to the top, and is in several guide books. Either circular or linear, the is a great place for refreshments. Our son and his beautiful wife got married here yesterday- it was a magical !! Food was lovely - service was great - weather was kind and the scenery was spectacular. We couldn’t have had a more special day - thank you to all at Nant Gwrtheyrn ❤️ A hidden gem with incredible views of mountains and the sea and a really lovely cafe. Very friendly staff and great service. Flexible with gluten free. The eco museum passport book for the kids to explore the wider heritage of the Llyn Peninsula is such a great idea. If a walk down to the sea, local history, heritage, picturesque scenery, cute and a shop selling local produce is for you then it's a must visit. Ivonica in the was so helpful and totally charming. Thankyou for a lovely experience.
