Had a 1st couples here last night in the resturant. The food was really nice made all the better by the service and knowledge of the waiter and waitress that served us, this guy is a credit to this place, never got his name 🤦. Really enjoyed our night out and will definitely be back again 😁. Ate in the bar here while on a 2 night stay in the hotel with our dog. The food was some of the best we have had, would highly recommend the fish and chips. The portion sizes are very good. Dogs very well looked after, too, with water bowls. There was a dog dining menu, but we didn't try it. Special lunchtime sandwich menu, absolutely delicious - another level! Lovely food I had cider & leek mussels gorgeous & plenty of them. Darcy, Tilly & Lillia were just lovely attentive & could not fault them! Thankyou girls. Would recommend a visit. There is a bar and comfy seating if you want something more casual. We sat in the restaurant. Pictured is the rabbit & chicken scotched egg, roast venison and sticky toffee pudding. The food was fantastic, my only comment is the scotched egg is a touch big for a starter. The little cottage pie that came with the venison was the real start of the show. At the end of the I was very full. So no complaints. Had a stay at Healing Manor with a at the Pig and Whistle restaurant. We had the beef wellington, which was superb. Starters were also good, but the desserts were too big for us - but that would suit others! The manager was very and knowledgeable. My only gripes were the dead flowers on the table and the missing feet on most of the dining chairs, leading to rocking. Overall, we were very happy, and are looking to come back next month! Last time I visited I had the chicken Kiev burger which was good, chicken was slightly on the dry side but chips are always spot on. selection of drinks and fairly priced for the quality of venue. You would never have known they were busy though because the remained polite and efficient, while still able to take time to explain everything and have a quick chat. My first visit to this pub, taken there by my son to celebrate my birthday. He's been before and loves it. Me and my partner are both vegetarian. Choice of one starter, 3 mains and all deserts. We chose the 1 starter, mushroom pate it was absolutely amazing 👏. Cauliflower curry for main, the presentation was a bit off putting, half a Cauliflower on top of rice and vegatable sauce. The flavour was nice though, would be better to chop up the Cauliflower and mix it in. The desert we had was lemon meringue, absolutely amazing 👏 Compliments to the chef food. Service was excellent by all staff. It was very quiet when we went nice room well presented. Our was £35 each for the ones we picked well worth it. I would recommend and will go again. We had a family Christmas dinner in the last two years at the Manor. The service and food was good. Atmosphere varies as a larger room is available to cater for larger groups, would have been to have some background music.Staff were ! We ate here for my mums birthday. The service was amazing, the really looked after us, the food was divine (portions were massive), very reasonably priced and set on beautiful grounds. I would highly recommend. EXCEPTIONAL!!! My wife and I have just had two ‘Lunchtime Sandwich Platters’ on two separate occasions (there is such a vast array on the menu). These included huge sandwiches (we went for egg mayo - delicious), plenty of chips/fries and a pot of homemade coleslaw. Everything was freshly made. The cost - £10 each. I've dined at Healing Manor on various occasions over the years since Steve and Charlotte have been there, and can honestly say I've never had a bad word to say about it. The Grimsby haddock and chips is legendary... big portions, freshly fried, gorgeous crispy and just feels like a really special meal. Canapés at events have always been excellent, the £10 sandwich, chips, coleslaw and mini pudding lunch offer is an absolute favourite... But the Afternoon Tea that wd recently had for an early Mother's Day treat was pure luxury. Exquisite finger sandwiches, bhaji, quiche and warm soup, cakes, pastries, scones, jam, it was all perfection. Service warm and attentive as always. Food was fabulous and attention to detail from staff, especially the manageress. She couldn’t do enough for us. We were celebrating our silver wedding.
