This is a wonderful and endment Theatre. It has a modern foyer and has been beautifully painted inside. I was fortunate enough to see the Capitole Oper ballet company in a tribute to Maurice Ravel. They were accompanied by the opera Orchestra and it was a wonderful show. Then to be sea of the theater means that the sound is wonderful. I was in the back of a side loge quite high, but if I still could see this stage without an issue. I got an H euro ticket by lining up one hour prior to the performance, which is when returns are re-sold. Places très inconfortables au 5eme etage. Dur dur pour des personnes âgées... Pensez a revoir le confort de ces assises et un dossier surtout au prix des places!!!! Ensuite 5€ la petite bouteille d eau, c est inadmissible!!!! Et en plus ,il est interdit de la garder. Really enjoy the shows at the Opera. Today was a mélange of three ballet performances. The seating and floor and wall finishes need some TLC as it is starting to show serious wear and tear! This is Toulouse's jewel and the Mairie and Metropole should take care of it! It would be really nice if they offered finger food and a proper selection of non-alcoholic drinks in the intermissions, instead of just champagne. And in addition to coffee maybe some hot chocolate in the same espresso cups for the younger ones ! Stunning theatre. Today's performance of Rusalka was epic. The building has excellent acoustics and if all the performances are as good as this, I'd be there every week if I lived here. I had an excellent seat for the Don Giovanni Saturday night at a reasonable price considering the performance. Great production by Agnès Jaoui, atmospheric lighting, décor and colour scheme. Great singers and a very young conductor full of verve . An excellent evening all round. The Ballet team of the Capitole are great and the different directors have added their true spirit to Chopin and Mozart. All the staff from top to bottom showed amazing manners and etiquette. The performances are always top quality and wide in range. I've thoroughly enjoyed the concerts and operas I've seen here. I also appreciate the subtitling. It makes it much more accessible. Toulouse is always a pleasure to visit and the theatre is a truly entertaining and enjoyable reason to spend time in this beautiful city. A great place in Toulouse center (Place du Capitole) that offers ballet and opera shows of great quality. Tickets need to be purchased in advance, most of the shows are sold out quickly. The performances are AMAZING, staff are lovely and super helpful. The super high up seats at Paradise have indeed reduced visibility but it's acceptable (I didn't even realized they were at first), at the front-er seats the quality is perfect. I was very impressed with the mise en scène of Nabucco by Verdi and Norma by Bellini. This theater's interpretation of Orphée aux Enfers also has a nice touch of humour and a unique variation in the final part of Act 1. The ballet performances are nice. I'd keep updating in the future cause you just have to come back here! Musically good (if somewhat visually unimaginative) performance of Mozart's Figaro, BUT the seats are the most uncomfortable I've experienced in any theatre anywhere. To the point that the constant shuffling of uncomfortable people becomes a distraction. There is no word to explain my feeling. Everything good w their staff.
