A really pub and worth the windy roads to get there. The team working there were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us and the food was wonderful. We went for Sunday lunch. Absolute gem of a place,great service,huge choice of beverage,and the food was excellent,Sunday lunch was best had.Definitely worth the drive up from the main road,ir stay in one of their holiday lets very close by,we did 👍 Walked up from the canal, around 2 miles but well worth it. Fabulous food ate roast lamb which was one of the best and apple bread and butter pudding, big portions, plenty of sides. Dog friendly, great service and friendly customers. Will be back on our return journey to Llangattock Decided to pay the pub a visit for dinner based on reviews and we weren't disappointed - enjoyed a couple of local ales in the sun before having a range of meals inside the traditional local, with a view of the hills from our table. Chicken in peppercorn sauce, mushroom stroganoff and scampi enjoyed by all with deserts including sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie sundae. Locals were really friendly and introduced us to Bumbu rum and gave us directions home, avoiding Middle Earth. Great outdoor space and function room for events - looks like Goose Fest will be fun. Highly recommend. Stopped off after our dog walk. Very gorgeous location, cold beer and we split a roast roll which was delicious 😋 Wonderful country pub, with incredible food. We had a heck of a hike to get there from the canal, but the food was well worth it. Lovely remote location with views to die for, and a nice friendly bunch of locals made for a lovely atmosphere. The food isn’t just spectacularly good, it’s also very reasonably priced. A true hidden gem. EXCELLENT WEDDING / CELEBRATION VENUE We had our wedding at The Goose and Cuckoo and it completely exceeded our expectations. The setting is absolutely unique and beautiful — the perfect backdrop for such a special day. The team went out of their way to make everything run smoothly, and nothing was too much trouble. They were warm, welcoming and incredibly accommodating, even sourcing speciality food for us, which made the day feel even more personal and special.
