The bad was the lasagne it was dry and not finished by the three of our party who were unanimous in saying it was the driest lasagne that had ever had. The service was OK until we were served then abandoned we were not asked if the meals were OK. I had to ask for the table to be cleared as were fed up with looking at unfinished meals. We did complain about the lasagne but received no feedback. Will be unlikely to return . The pool table's weren't charging anyone so myself, husband and 10 year old decided to have a game. We aren't locals so assumed it was a free day as others were playing also. When the staff realised that the pool tables were giving free games they came over to check on them as it was a fault. Not a problem, and said we would pay for our go as we didn't realise. They then proceeded to pot the rest of our balls without asking and ignored us. We asked why they did that as we were almost finished and said we would pay for the turn. They were very rude to us including to a ten year old child saying it didn't matter as they can't afford to give away free go's. Very rude and dismissive and my son was upset. Won't be going back. We haven't visited for a while until today and definitely will not be visiting again. We ordered a diet coke and a lemonade plus food. The were vile! Tasted like sweetened water and nothing else. The food was taking a while (as it was so quiet) but we wouldn't have minded if we could have enjoyed our drinks. I mentioned my concerns to the lady serving (the Manager she informed me). Apparently the have been looked into and nothing found wrong, it's the syrup they use. And they are usually and meant to be drunk as mixers with shorts! The attitude of the young lady wasn't exactly professional and very defensive to the point of becoming a little confrontational. I was told the food was literally just being plated up and they'd been having the fridge fixed all day! At this point I had lost my appetite. The food was immediately served but I informed the Manager that we were going to leave. Especially regarding the situation at which point I had mentioned 3 times! At this point I was told she was about to offer us a different drink! I advised that we were still leaving. (In fairness the food smelled and looked lovely). We waited at the bar to ask for a refund on the drinks. A different young lady spoke to me then to the Manager. We had a cash refund for the drinks. Cannot recommend not to visit enough Our food was lovely. Staff are fab. Only let down by crazy overly drunk people we didn't know pinching food off our plate when we were eating. However, the staff dealt with the situation amazingly and removed said people from premises promptly and offered us a replacement. Popped in for food yesterday tea time, ordered 2 burgers, one beef and one chicken, they were fantastic. Cooked to perfection and the buns were lovely and fresh. The chips are out of this world too, very big portions, didn’t manage to take pictures as they didn’t last long enough 🤭 Service was quick, even though it was busy due to the sunshine. Was able to order a takeaway meal for my teenager too who didn’t want to come to the pub and was lovely and hot and big portion. Very prices and friendly staff, love coming to this pub, it’s nice and clean and the atmosphere is lovely. I work in one and understand the need to ID but all staff working tonight seemed to have so much attitude towards customers. Rolling their eyes, and seeming genuinely uninterested in any form of customer service. I didn’t order any form of alcoholic drink and even after I sat in the car waiting to leave after being told to leave, they rudely told us again that we had to get off their premises.
