We had a beautiful lunch here, the food is amazing, the desserts are so so good. the dining room is brilliant, located in the old kitchen of the castle, quite unusual. I would definitely recommend it for a visit. looking round the castle would be difficult for anyone who is in a wheelchair or has mobility issues. Really nice, peaceful castle. Enjoyed reading about all the rooms in the place & see some old features. The staff were lovely & enjoyed a cuppa in the small kitchen. Met a few friends outside. Love that all the profit goes back into the restoration. Some nice walks around too. Very pleasant cafe and delicious cakes & scones. Scottish antiquities and photos decorate the wall providing for an interesting and comfortable visit. Not to be missed.. outstanding story here.. very personal and enlightening. Captain Hays beautiful narrative in telling of his sojourn through life. The boards placed in the rooms sharing this, are beautifully formed. Joan an incredible woman and Katie a delight. Happen to be an open free day due to an exhibition happening, so we got to explore the whole castle which is in fantastic condition! The history information sheets were also very helpful.
