Loved my time here with a few local friends. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, just great all round. We booked a table as we were staying 5 mins drive from the hotel. Why every time I have battered fish is it crispy on the outside and soggy next to the fish? It's getting so I'm not going to order fish and chips anymore as no one in restaurants seems able to do it right. Good fish spoilt by soggy batter. Sunday dinner with family. Good service, great food, reasonably priced First time trying this restaurant, food was amazing and staff were very friendly and attentive. Such a beautiful restaurant I had the macaroni cheese with added extras, hubby had the fish and chips and we had banoffee cheeses cake for pudding yummy. We would definitely come back highly recommend. Ty 🤩 Came today for a late lunch, completely forgetting its fathers day and they managed to squeeze us in amongst the bookings. Staff were really lovely and you could tell they were swept off their feet but it didn't change how you were treated. Everyone was really nice and attentive and very friendly. Food was amazing, burnt my tongue which is my own fault but I couldn't help it as it was all so delicious! Obviously food came out piping hot, and cooked to perfection. Thoroughly reccomend! Had a great visit to the Newmachar Hotel — warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food all round. The Sunday carvery was the highlight: generous portions, tender meats, and plenty of choice. Special mention to Fraser on the carvery, who was brilliant — friendly, efficient, and made sure everyone was well looked after. This place was a gem of a find while searching for hotels in the Aberdeenshire area. Absolutely fantastic service from the extremely professional team. The food and cocktails are some of the best I've ever experienced. The room was lovely with a very welcoming fan ready to cool me down after enjoying the relaxing outdoor area in the scorching sunshine 🌞 . I can see me easily visiting this cracker a few times a year.
