Super good beds, I slept like a rock. Cozy hotpot, nice to go before bed. The place is run down and tired. Old barn that has very thin walls so you hear everything, bathroom lacking a doorknob and the door didn't close. The breakfast was bare minimum but you could get coffee and tea as you like. You get what you pay for, bed, toilet, breakfast. Rest is not much. Room was nice! The owner was very kind especially as there was a snowstorm overnight and offered extensions to guests who perhaps had their plans changed due to the weather. We appreciated his kindness and the fantastic breakfast. Just a heads up that because the location is near the geothermal fields, the hot water has a sulfuric smell, but this is considered common/normal throughout Iceland. Our quick stay at Lamb Inn was fine. The beds were comfy but the room seemed a bit more outdated and not quite as clean as any of our other stays during our 12 day trip around Ring Road. We had minimal interaction with the staff but they seemed kind. Breakfast was standard and location was great. Be careful. Bedbugs here. More than 10 bedbugs are waiting for your laying down on the bed under the bedsheets and welcoming their dinner party with your blood. Couldn't sleep whole night. Service was very welcoming, the rooms were beautiful, and they served amazing food each night. For the three nights we stayed here, we were served a variety of traditionally prepared dishes including cod, meatloaf, and lamb. We also got a spectacular view of the northern lights from just outside the hotel which was an unforgettable experience. Overall, the Lamb Inn felt more like a welcoming home than a hotel and I would strongly recommend staying here if you ever visit Iceland.
