Managed to get a late booking for Sunday roast. Parking was full however there was space in the village. Beautiful decor inside and a feel together place. too. It made a change to have a out and where we all said that was an enjoyable with service and a pleasant atmosphere. The landlord is very and the food is excellent. It has some interesting specials and well kept real ales. Highly recommended. A nice little pub off the beaten track. Nice food and staff. Parking outside. Visited today with friends for a ‘3 course lunch’ A warm welcome, despite the fact we were 10 mins late for our booking. Table ready for us and we were quickly sat down and drinks order taken. We had 2 dogs with us and the venue was described as ‘Dog Friendly’ on the website… actually I’d say they ‘love dogs’ and we were made to feel so welcome. We popped in as we were passing and had heard things. We were not disappointed. The pub is spotless and really well taken care of, the were all so warm, especially the waitress Danny. The biggest YESSSS was the food. We shared some spicy dirty fries and a seafood platter, i have to say that for the price we we’re expecting average “pub grub” but that’s not what we got, it was really well prepared, really well presented, really tasty and really well priced. They also were very at dealing with gluten free request and took measures to ensure the food was gluten free and provided gluten free rolls too. Would definitely recommend. We visited this pub last Saturday with my family and absolutely loved it! It’s such a cosy place with really nice decor and a atmosphere. The were super friendly, polite and helpful, and the food was honestly outstanding! We had the pan-seared chicken supreme, beef bourguignon and butternut squash risotto and OMG, everything was sooo good! The desserts were amazing too. We’ll definitely be coming back soon! We are very impressed with the decor,atmosphere, the attentiveness of the (not overdone but very polite and friendly) We came in at around 6.20 on a Wednesday and the place was already busy but fortunately we we told he could squeeze us in. So pleased as the food was superb ( and I don’t say that often) Even the gammon,eggs and chips that my husband ordered had a little bit of a twist to it in the form of a pineapple salsa which complimented the perfectly. My chicken supreme came with beautifully cooked parmentier potatoes, a sweetcorn puree and a fresh little salsa. Service was faultless. By the time we left at 8pm all the tables were full as was the bar. This is a dog pub in the bar and also has a pretty beer garden with a view of the church tower. The are really and smiley. But the food…honestly never had a bad dish. Every single thing is delicious and beautifully presented every time. The White Horse has become our number one place to go and for reason. It is definitely the best pub in the area. It’s always busy, but somehow they always manage to accommodate. The place is in a nice village, and when I walked in and looked around, I immediately noticed the dirty, even very dirty chairs that were stained, how can people sit on them? It's disgusting. If the dining area is this 'clean,' how is it in the kitchen? I didn't want to take the risk.
