I'm going to open with THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC ( just for those that only read the 1st line)! Was in the area for a week and checked out reviews of local restaurants, this seemed to be ok. Easy booking system, and easy to amend as we needed to. Arrived and shown to our table, it had a pub feel, but is a seated restaurant only, staff knew their menu and we were able to have every question answered. We were a of 6, was fast and attentive without being pushy, I ordered my drink as a coke, but when it arrived I said to my son "Oh I forgot to say coke zero", they immediately just took it back without me asking and replaced it free of charge, it was definitely my error and I was not asking them to. The food was tasty, cooked correctly (steaks of different temperature) local produce and with regional dishes. The portions were generous with no room for pudding if you had a starter! We enjoyed our meal so much we returned with friends as a of 7 and yes, they were able to repeat both the quality of and food, which sometimes I find doesn't happen. Would definitely recommend and is a little gem for the area. Absolutely FANTASTIC stop for late lunch/early dinner today! The food was fantastic and the portions are great when you're hungry!! Fish was bubbly and light and the burger was packed full - both well worth the money!! Aarron was exceptional with his customer and attention! They even have small scissors in the pot with sauce sachets- genius!! Will definitely return! Food has improved since my last visit with new management, the fish and chips were lovely and fresh found a few bones but otherwise was lovely, I had salmon pate from the Sunday special. For the portion size of pate it could have done with another one or two oatcakes. The waffle and icecream sundae was also nice, over all good pub grub. wasn’t great tho, food came quickly but was little aggressive and antsy. Had a fabulous dinner this evening at the new Stable’s Bar at the Longniddry Inn. Loving the newly refurbished space and the bar menu. Food was great and the top notch. Particularly helpful with our dietary needs (GF and DF) going through the whole menu highlighting what we could have and what adaptations could be made. MIL had a huge choice which doesn’t often happen. Big shout out to Arran! We’ll definitely be back! We went to the Stables Bar for an amazing lunch today. Our wee dog was welcomed with a bowl of cold water by lovely staff. The chicken burger and cheese burger were delicious and THANK YOU I was part of a large group for a birthday party, the food and was first class! Staff really went above and beyond. The food was brilliant and highly recommend. The whole enjoyed their food and banter with the staff. Highly recommend and will certainly be back. Thank you for a great day! Fabulous visit for lunch today. Phoned ahead to book as one of our party is in a wheelchair to double check accessibility. On arrival they provided a ramp for us and we had a next to the door & toilet. Food was outstanding. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Fresh, tasty and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.
