The lady owner is very moody. Amazing BBQ chicken! We drove by this restaurant on our way to the castle and while we were visiting it the delicious smell of BBQ chicken could be smelt all the way up so we knew we had to stop there for lunch afterwards. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious and inexpensive. Loved it! Great local restaurant and a meat lovers paradise. Meat, fish or game, you name it, they probably have it. We went to eat on a Sunday after visiting the castle of the Village. The food was homemade,very good and at a reasonable price. We will repeat :) Stopped after the castel visit and got the grill day menu. Meat was very tender and side dishes were large. We enjoyed the food and the staff was nice! They have a good lunch menu which only cost 8.5€ pp (mixed grill with fries & salat from the bar) They have a bbq infront of the door where they do bbq chicken on the weekends. (That you can also order to go) Every time i go to eat there, its like eating at grandmothers. The plats arnt verry decorative but the food is amazing. Nice to find a Portuguese style restaurant in such a town as Larochette. I asked what the owner would recommend and just took that (forgot the name, some meat with garlic, which was indeed nice). It was served with a salad (a bit too much raw union for my taste) and French fries (a bit too salty, in my opinion). All in all, a decent dinner for only 18€ (including two beers).
