Stunning views. Peaceful and relaxing on a warm day. Plenty of seating. Step access to the point, so unavailable for someone in a wheelchair or someone who struggles with step. It is a nice place for a picnic. I love everything about Portishead so am slightly biased! The Point is so scenic, with lovely (on a clear day), plenty of benches to sit on and appreciate the scenery and a nice to the Royal Oak or esplanade. Great for everyone. Great view point Excellent out very breezy Lovely afternoon in the sun at Portishead. Took the dogs out for their exercise. It was busy but everyone was careful of each others space which is a blessing in these times. Parking was busy but managed to get in with a fine view of the Severn Estuary. It was nice and clear so both bridges over the Severn and the Welsh coast were visible. Lovely panoramic point, you can see the Bristol channel, the bridge and Wales right in front of you. There are benches, it's great for a on a sunny day and there is an easy access to woodlands paths. This is a popular spot for dog walkers, with stunning overlooking the Bristol Channel towards Wales. The headland is an open grassy space with craggy rocks leading down to the water and Portishead Point Lighthouse at the tip. The sloped grass has plenty of benches around for you and your pup to chill and take in the view, it’s particularly beautiful at sunset. A short away is East Wood, a small, coastal woodland habitat which supports a huge range of wildlife. An exciting place to be when the tide is in and shipping passing by. Fine across the Bristol Channel. Pleasant woodland close by and refreshments available at the café. Nice around the boating lake. Take care though the path can get slippery close to the water's edge. I love it here to either read or playing Pokémon Go A peaceful little point discovered whilst looking for things to do on Google maps, what a great find it was. Plenty of parking and the of the sunset is simply amazing. Verynice views.... good place to sit and emty your mind... Lovely place for a walk, sit on a bench and watch the world go by, Great for watching huge ships pass so close to the rocks Nice view of Wales and the sea. Perfect place to watch the sunset from the benches or the comfort of your car. There is even a nice pond by the car park with swans! The car park is free. Lovely place to go to hang around and have a picnic on a sunny day. The beach isn't sandy but it's good to explore with the kids, we even got lucky and found a few fossils.
