Hmm...had read a lot about this and were v excited about visiting. Lovely setting with fabulous views. Pretty buildings. Huge menu with 7 homemade ice flavours throughout. We had 2 waffles and 1 sundae. We were expecting fresh/warm waffles but they seemed to be ftom a packet 'like the ones we have in school'. The pavlova sundae would have been vastly improved with more meringue. It was hard to find! The strawberry ice was 😋 This place is a great find of you're serious about your and your ice cream. I ordered a Machiato and the barrista was so concerned with getting it right he came out to ask how I wanted it. The is not the stuff you get in Starbucks, it's proper. The ice is yummy with good selection of flavours. If you miss your ice from Devon and Cornwall this is a great replacement. Toilets could do with some updating work though. Lovely hidden spot with plenty of outside seating with gorgeous panoramic of the valley. A quaint, rustic setting of the old barn is a really nice place to be. The venue focuses on and ice cream. The is delicious, some of the best I have tasted. The ice is good but for the price I'd expect more, which leads me on to the reason for the lack of 5 stars. Now this might be a sign of the times, but £8.50 for three scoops of ice a flake and some sauce seems rather expensive. I notice that there are stickers covering the old prices (increase of £2) either I'm just tight or as I say this is just the price of things now. Certainly not a cheap venue. Fantastic little hidden gem, on the road between Bedwas and Machen, blink and you’ll miss it, but keep your eyes peeled and you won’t be disappointed! ice cream, fantastic coffee, lovely staff, breathtaking and a cute play area for the little ones. Not open through the winter and limited opening times during term time but absolutely worth trying again and again. They also have a wood fired pizza oven for busier times but I’ve not been lucky enough to try the pizza out yet but looking forward to giving it a go! Stunning of the countryside. Popped in this afternoon and was surprised by this hidden gem. Brilliant place for kids without having that play area feel. Brilliant waffles and ice cream, great for the kids and stunning . I absolutely love this place!! Been visiting ever since 2022 and always come back when it’s hot. The ice sundaes are amazing (especially banoffee) the menu is huge with a range of different types of ice creams (not only sundaes) and it’s dog/kid friendly! The prices are affordable and the staff are always so friendly here. The place has plenty of seating with a stunning view of the mountains/fields but the only bad side is the car park is quite small. Children's very friendly place with so many ice flavours you will have to go again and again to try all of them. Had a sundae and bubble tea as well, both delicious. The staff are lovely. Totally recommend it.
