It looks like a very popular shop in Echternach where there were a lot of people dining and queuing for the ice cream. I decided to give it a try and I was at the entrance asking for a for one when the staff was rude and he asked me to take off my mask and talk to him. I said "table for 1 person" and he kept asking me "1 or 1 person" and he then walked away and after a minute another staff came and showed me to a table. This guy was pretty nice he handed me the menu and said would come back but he didn't and the previous staff came back to take my order. He also took the wrong order I asked for 1 scoop of Pistachio and 1 scoop of Mint he came back with 2 scoops of Pistachio and refused to change. Also ordered a plain crepe which was good I had some ice to go along with it. I didn't really like the items in the menu cause the items have predefined flavours which makes it very restrictive and not able to choose the flavours you like. I liked the pistachio gelato I thought it was quite good, and the crepe was pretty decent as well. Not a bad place in all but the service is really not good. Very friendly girl who helped the children. They even got some of the garnishment candy. The children loved the flavors. Also nice its in the main street for an evening icecream after dinner. Such a delicious Italian ice cream. Terrible service. When we arrived the man in charge put us in the back room full of flies even though there were tables in the front and then when we said there were flies and too much noise from the pot washing he said “I can’t magic you a table” It was very confusing as we had been nothing but polite the whole time. Delicious treats at Gelateria Venezia in the heart of Echternach! I had two scoops of ice (banana and pistachio) — both were rich in flavour and perfectly creamy. We also tried a warm crêpe with chocolate and an Irish coffee, which were equally tasty. Great value for money overall. The location in the town centre is perfect — you can enjoy your order on-site or take it to go. They also offer a wide selection that's great for kids. Highly recommended if you're in the area! Expensive ice and won’t let you sit down even if there are loads of spare tables - an unnecessary and stupid rule. Saw a waitress kick 5 tables out in 10 minutes leaving the place empty!! We recently visited this ice shop as a group of five. It was quite busy at the time, and I understand that during peak hours, staff can be under pressure. I appreciate the effort the team puts in under such circumstances. However, our experience with the manager was extremely disappointing. Upon entering, the manager abruptly stopped us with a curt “Stop, wait,” delivered in a very rude tone. He then led us to a and attempted to seat all five of us on a small couch clearly meant for three people. When my mother politely asked if we could move a nearby to have more space, he responded unprofessionally—slamming his notepad and pen on the and moving the furniture aggressively, to the point where my mother had to move back for her safety. He sighed and rolled his eyes throughout, displaying a complete lack of courtesy. The other waiters, in contrast, were very kind and attentive, and I honestly felt bad that they had to work with such an impatient and unprofessional manager. As for the food, I ordered the strawberry cup. It was overly sweet to the point that I felt slightly nauseous; it may have been a personal taste issue, but it wasn’t enjoyable for me. Lastly, the men’s bathroom was in a very poor state. My brother mentioned it first, and upon checking myself, I found it to be extremely dirty and unpleasant. Overall, between the rude management, disappointing dessert, and unhygienic facilities, I cannot see myself returning to this establishment. Just bought 2 small icecream for €12, at the window outside, before you even have the plan to sit down on the terrace they already sending you away. Very unfriendly, learn how to treat your customers well.
