We visited on a Friday night for food and it was overall a very good experience. There weren't too many people in the pub, so it lacked a little atmosphere, but it was fine. The food is all homemade and very good. We had a veggie lasagne which was HUGE and tasty. The chicken curry was superb with loads of meat, chips and rice and two poppadoms. The rib eye steak was the only sight let down. It was an 8oz that I asked for medium, but it it was too well cooked and it also seems like was just out of a vacuum pack/supermarket with no real flavour. We also had the chicken skewers which were delicious, but maybe a little expensive at £9. Overall pretty good and I'd love to try more off the specials menu! The pub was fairly busy on a Thursday lunchtime which was reassuring. The menu was extensive and there were a few specials. The choice of draft beers was acceptable although I opted for cider. Our food choices were mainly the burgers which were excellent and came with good chips, onion rings and coleslaw. I had the lamb kofta wrap which, although a starter, was a generous portion of well spiced lamb with a wrap, salad and hummus. Service was friendly and efficient. As it was a nice day we sat outside. There's plenty of seating both inside and out. The food was delicious, the staff where lovely and friendly, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was chilled, laid back, easy going vibe. Would highly recommend if your from round the area or even passing, it's well worth a little detour, you definitely wouldn't be disappointed. We had a really fantastic lunch here today. We have been veggie for many years, and the White Hart's cheesy veggie pancake was a triumph. I had to take some home, it was such a generous portion. As veggies, we usually get fobbed off in pubs with an overpriced dish of pasta. This was just the best ever! Thank you, we will be back. Absolutely delicious food, very welcoming and accommodating. Would recommend it, and hoping to visit again very soon for another delicious meal! I had the vegetarian stuffed pancake (I asked for the sauce on the side), and my colleague had the hunters chicken. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and felt very welcome. 🤩 Kitchen closed as we got there, yet they still served us instead of sending us in our way.
