Not easy to understand. Beer was ok, salad too. My review is about the restaurant, NOT the hotel. We went there at Easter Sunday. The positiv was the taste of the menu. The dishes tasted amazing. Compliments to the cook(s). I liked a lot that you could order more noodles or sauce or other stuff from each dish. The quantity was also good. But my review is "only" 2 stars why....... Well, we waited for ordering 20 minutes to another 30 minutes to get our drinks. They forgot one soup and another waiting time of 45 minutes for the dessert. They had a salad buffet. One of our family members is a vegetarian and she ordered a salad but for that she got a plate and could take what she wanted from the salad buffet. What are the others doing that had a big garden salad with beef or chicken.......!?!? The staff looked kinda all over the place. While the women tried everything to do as good and as fast as they can the men, well... what I saw was talking to others and serving only one dish at a time. For me, the organization was bad. It's really bad. We were there roundabout 3 hours and sorry, that couldn't be right. Zum Auftakt gab es einen alkoholfreien Tonic Spritz mit Früchten, der wunderbar erfrischend und eine perfekte Eröffnung für unser Essen war. Unsere Hauptgerichte – Zwiebelrostbraten mit hausgemachten Spätzle und ofenfrischer Sauerbraten mit Semmelknödel – waren hervorragend zubereitet. Das Fleisch war besonders zart und aromatisch, die Semmelknödel fluffig, und der Beilagensalat frisch und knackig. Der Tonic Spritz rundete das Erlebnis perfekt ab. Der Biergarten des Gasthofs bietet eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Hier kann man in aller Ruhe sehr gut essen gehen. Ein Besuch ist definitiv lohnenswert! Top Ich war zu Gast im Speiselokal. Es gab u.a. auch Wildgerichte. Toller Service, ein junger Kellner war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hirschgulach, die Kürbiscremsuppe und der Nachtisch waren ausgezeichnet. Einen sehr leckerer Salat gab es dazu. Wir waren wirklich begeistert. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super. Wir haben das Lokal bereits weiterempfohlen. Denn mittlerweile sind in manchen Lokalen die Preise derart explodiert, dass wir nicht mehr jedes Lokal besuchen werden. Großes Lob an die Küche! The room was spacious (for three of us), a big bathroom, and easy to get to. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage. We used Villach to do day trips to ljubliana and lake bled and it worked really well. Wife and I stayed the night on our way to Wurzburg after seeing the Baldern Castle. Food was very good and recommend the spinach pesto. It was a little difficult ordering since some employees didn't speak English very well and my German is sub par. (the younger employees did speak English fluent) I would rather trade good food and price for fluent English speakers. Almost a year later and I still remember the Pesto.
