I like it here. Only fished Rib lake, day and night, with moderate success and three big losses. Plenty of space for two tents on the bugger pegs. The guys and girls at the are helpful. Toilets always clean and access to a kettle is useful. When the is busy, I find it hard to fish. Recently went when there wasn't a spare peg and no bites at all for most of the lake, bar one rogue bream at 11pm. What a wake up call that is. Nice place to be. If you're lucky to get a peg by some trees, it helps shelter from the breeze. Only issue I find is using a cart. There's a section in the car park which isn't always open and means having to take stuff off the cart to get through the gate and put it back on. Just a minor inconvenience though. Easy to get too plenty of parking spaces scenery is great. The swims were muddy and no visible movement in the water .I blanked but then it is cold . Clean toilets good tackle with friendly staff. I'll go again when it's warmer. Ducks and geese very annoying disturbing the water . Clean and tidy carp lake. Bailiffs on hand if needed other wise your left alone. Plenty of room for bivvys for a social. Some cracking carp too. Amenities clean and useful . Plenty of features in the with a good amount of flat areas. Would come again on own or as a group. Lovely big .Well maintained. Friendly bailiffs. Spectacular surroundings . Slow on the for this time of year . Deffo going back too do a 48 hr session in the warmer times.Went back , no carp but had about 15 tench and of course the 2 runs that managed too get away . I took the family here and what a lovely experience. I’m from Florida and am use to deep sea fishing. The lady in the tackle went above and beyond to help us get started. Including what bait would be best and what spots we should visit. Caught about 11 little fish. The area around the lakes was very clean and had a few other families fishing. Will be back again. Again thank you to the lovely lady at the tackle shop. Firstly, First time here, I was hesitant when I turned up cause its busy, even in the morning , alot of nighters, however got my swim and set up. Important to remember, even if you don't catch here the view is amazing, loads to do quite picturesque! The ONLY negatives are the Swans. Balls of steel these bad boys don't care. Had to recast a couple of times cause they can get in the way, Also since they have opened the adventure park all you can hear is people on the zipline constantly but you get used to it I haven't seen loads of being pulled out but highly likely down to timing of me being there, have spoke to people that have pulled out 20 pounds plus. Would recommend, it's a lovely and will deffo go back there for a night session I only fly-fish for trout here and used to live nearby and fished here when I first started a decade ago, but the was a larger, different one, now turned over to coarse, but the smaller remains a place to fish. I had always considered Rib Valley my ‘lucky lake’ as I caught a 5 pound trout here many years ago then last autumn on a return trip from Stansted to my home in Kent I thought I'd 'pop in' and have a quick session. It was the tail-end of hurricane Doris and properly windy so I considered my chances very slim. But lo and behold I caught a 4.5lb trout, pictured) which qualified me for the local TroutMasters competition, organised by Rib Valley trout manager Michael Clarke. Thus yesterday I competed again here in my very first competition and caught 4 fish, one of 4lb 10oz, winning it for me by 2 ounces. So on to the final in October! Anyway, it is indeed my lucky and there are good-sized there for all, so give it a go! Fished Rib in November last year, unfortunately no luck on the catching side but such a lovely to sit around, solid amenities and nice spacious swims, will definitely be back! A hub I really enjoyed this and the tackle has a large variety of baits and kit. £10 for a day ticket. Was a bit muddy but at this time of year is not a surprise. Lots of other things to do on site such as archery, axe throwing, Segway, golf, zorbing, RC car track and more. Restaurants and toilets very handy. Well worth a visit for all the family Top place, top fish. Lovely staff and a wonderful setting to go Excellent choice from 3 lakes. Good shop, excellent service and helpful staff. Been trout on one and silver on one of the others, over 50 caught in poor weather conditions. Nice surrounding and can take dog provided you don’t let it run around. Highly recommended, going to river when season starts. Very disappointed with westmill most swims were taken by the time we got there 08.30 only swim available was covered in algae so not possible to float due to thickness of algae and branches weeds etc will not be returning A fantastic venue that caters for all skill levels from beginners to fanatics. The are well looked after and are really hard fighting. The lakes are in condition with some large swims and overgrown swims for the stalkers out there. If you’re local to Ware I’d strongly recommend a visit. As a bonus there’s a restaurant onsite and lots for the family to do whilst you wet a line! took my boys there yesterday to for there first time. What a lovely setting with very friendly and helpful staff in the bait shop. To top it all off both my boys had loads to do catching lots of different coarse and they can’t wait to go again . excellent venue from top to bottom spot and Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
