This place has an amazing energy and draw to it. The creativity and space is beautiful and relaxing and just marvellous. The spaces are wonderful and the views down the Stort too. Idyllic Scenic setting with access to the stort river behind it. Artspace showcasing local and national artists. There are several installations around the grounds. Lovely small gallery with a curator who is very enthusiastic about the work on offer. Ask about the secret cupboard. There are classes and open days throughout the year. It's also a lovely setting to take a walk or have a picnic. Definitely worth a look if you have an hour or two to spare. Great little place if you are interested in different styles of art. Very friendly and informative people as well. Exhibition good 👍 as well. Visited their open day, where nearly every studio was exhibiting their wares. So much talent, mostly younger artisans, very keen to establish themselves, but also some long standing of very high standars, including glass works, stone letter carving and much more. The building alone is well worth viewing. Individual of many kinds, regular open days and classes available, set in beautiful countryside One of Harlow's gems. An amazing building and a beautiful place to explore. I attended a Glass Copper Foiling day tutor with Muna Z. I was very happy with my creation and enjoyed the day. The 'project space' is ground floor & while there is a slight slope up to it I feel it is wheelchair accessible. I was able to sit down for the day course and everything including toilet was accessible. The 'project space' room is a nice space. It was raining hard all day so I didn't get to look around outside and I would like to go back another day to see the gallery I had a brilliant time at Parndon Mill's annual Open Studios weekend. The were very welcoming and discussed their work in great detail. It was fantastic to see so many different disciplines under one roof. Parndon Mill itself is situated in a gorgeous area. Overlooking the River Stort, the mill is surrounded by swathes of land, all connected by several public footpaths. I definitely recommend it as a place to visit. Cozy & intimate, nice pieces of work. Just such a wonderful place. Did a glassworking course with Jon Lewis, and met his wife Yuki, who is also a jeweller/silversmith resident at the Mill. There are animals; sheep, chickens, a dog, a herd of buls and cows across the canal, and all around the feeling of creativity and harmony with nature permeates. Really enjoyed being there for the day. Lovely spot near the river with an art gallery and a variety of art and craft classes available. Currently doing a pottery course and it's brilliant. An amazing source of creative talent, filled with artists, illustrators, glass-makers, product designers, web designers, puppet makers and many other disciplines. A friendly crowd and well worth a visit if you are thinking of commissioning any creative work. We did a glass blowing workshop with Jon for my mums 60th birthday present. The 4 of us had an excellent day making marbles, paper weights, baubles & vases!! We then had pizza in the kiln for lunch. Jon was great and very clear with all the instructions.
