Their premises are really and definitely contain a massive man-made area. They also have a canteen and a store that sells numerous products. I had booked the beginners class and the first 45 minutes of the class were really and my trainer Jack showed us quite a few things while also being funny. Unfortunately when we got to the stage of getting into the waves, I was asked to leave my group and join the other group on the other side with two different due to having too many people, although we were split before we started the training. And unfortunately, this meant that I joined the other group while they were getting into the water so I felt like I had a lack of attention from the on that team. I did try a couple of times to catch a and it was fun but I can definitely say I did not have a £75 training and coaching. It’s sad that they put so many people into groups which means the can’t help everybody. I would understand that if this was a £20 here is a board and here is a make the most of it session but this is not how it’s sold on the website and the price that you pay for I was expecting more help from the and attention. It’s unlikely I will be visiting again, but if you want to try with a friend definitely do so, but don’t expect much from the if they are overbooked. Really brilliant facility. Wish I’d gone before. Went as a bodyboarder. Hostility from fellow surfers fairly low. Been twice now. Advanced plus this which was better than advanced for bodyboards. It’s such fun. Food and coffee is too! Everything at the is done to the highest standard. Firstly, the lake is great. The water was very comfortable and way warmer than the sea. They provide wetsuits, bodyboards and surfboards. The are very and explain everything before you get in the water. There is a cafe which serves amazing food. There are plenty of options and full vegan and gluten free menus. The burger I had was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. They also have some lovely smoothies as a healthier option. There is also a shop which has clothes, mugs and other merchandise. The t shirts have very designs and the shop is definitely worth a look at during your visit. There are multiple toilets, including a few by the lake, the cafe and some by the car park. There is a short of about 10 minutes from the car but there is scenery and play equipment on the way. The car has lots of space. Amazing and I would definitely recommend. Wow - what a facility. The itself is excellent - the really friendly and engaged, and the restaurant relaxed, god and healthy. Superb!!! Took my 6 year old and such a place for him to learn! Cannot fault this - will be back…a lot! My husband & son came for a surfing lesson & had a tho you could see they were both knackered by the end of it! 😂 We love the atmosphere here as it reminds of when we lived in the US so we like to just come here & eat. I knocked one star off because I dread the long to & from the car park! My bad back just hates it! 😩 I took my daughter here for her first surf a few days before her tenth birthday, the perfect place to learn and the are amazing. She loved it. The two that were absolutely amazing were Sunny and Billy, they made it sooo fun for the kids and you could really tell they loved the job too. Lots of advice! If your kids are small best to go for little rippers as in beginner lesson they’ll need to be able to out into the bay to the coaches, the help out course but say there’s suddenly loads of small kids in a group it gets very hectic so best to go for little rippers session. I absolutely love this place. Beside surfing, you also can enjoy the local kitchen and some drinks. Especially in the summer, if you want to feel like on holiday just come here for a few hours on a sunny day and your day mood will go up for the whole week. They also live music sometimes, so definitely recommend this place if you want to surf or just to chill and look how people are practicing their hobby. location you do feel you are out of the city surrounded by fields like a little escape. The venue itself is well laid out accommodation at the camp if you want to stay for night to catch a few surfs over a couple of days which I did. The waves are for working on your skill with the guaranteed waves compared to coastal surfing. The instructors were all amazing that I have had, made it enjoyable and safe at the same time, plus the food there was as well but you can bring your own food to the camp if you prefer to cook your own stuff. So on the whole best location for developing your skills, friendly and instructors with a really chilled atmosphere throughout. I have now become a regular customer really hooked on the wave. :-) Stayed over there in the camp for one night and had a 50/50 experience. Place is lively and the staffs are friendly. Didn’t have a problem with the distance between the venue and the car as a little bit of doesn’t hurt me. The tent unit was quite impressive. Was full of basic and useful supplies. The downside was the wind hitting the tent at night that made me & my friends awake most of the time. Also, having a policy of “no open fire” was disappointing as you expect to have bbq while camping. But then again it’s understandable since the area if full of grass! Will I return? Yes, but not for the camp, just to learn to catch the cause it looked so fun! Shared an afternoon with a friend at the Wave. I have to say it's a lot of effort for very little reward. The are very energetic and get you motivated. atmosphere in the restaurant/bar with music. The food was very good. quality equipment, ask for boots at the counter when you collect your wetsuit. On the whole a hang out place but the BIGGEST let down is the car surface. Huge pot holes and puddles making it very difficult to navigate. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed but plan ahead. My partner and I visited The yesterday to use a voucher bought for me. We got there in plenty of time, so we had a look around before our beginner lesson, which comprised of a half hour dry lesson then an hour in the water. We were both very impressed with the facilities and staff. The instructions were very clear for parking and arriving, and everyone was very helpful and professional. It is quite a from the car but there is some limited parking near the facilities for less able and people who need to be closer but it was very muddy when getting out of your car. We loved the whole experience, and our instructor Jake was brilliant!! We were very tired and very happy when we finished so we had a drink and a snack on the balcony before leaving. It is a lovely environment to relax in. We are planning on coming back again in the future. Thank you for a experience. Booked and went to one of the paddle by the bay sessions with a 4 and 6 year old. Both really enjoyed it and had a 'Epic time'. The life guards explained things really well and made sure everyone understood where to go and where they couldn't. Ordered food and it was really nice, no complaints at all with the kitchens. One small issue, the play area didn't seem to get cleared on a regular basis and there were glasses left on the floor. Love this place, really feels like your by the beach and there’s a lovely around the pool that you can get some photos ! There’s a Cafe that also sells food that’s not too badly priced. The only problem we find with The is that the car is really muddy and needs tarmac, it could really damage your car. There are pot wholes everywhere and massive speed bumps. Very disappointed by our visit. I had booked my two children (aged 14 and 10) for the intermediate level one September Saturday.They had over the last 2 summers each done 2 weeks of surf school (IN Ireland then in France) so I thought they would be confident enough for that level. And actually, my eldest was managing to ride the all the way to the beach, better than most adults in that group. They were both having a that day, despite this the life guard decided to take them out of the water after barely 20mns deeming their level was not enough. The rest of the were generally rude and unhelpful and I was offered no refund, not even a small voucher for the next booking. This place is a complete waste of and money. We'll keep going to the real ocean waves in the future not this artificial little gimmick in the Bristol countryside. My first surfing at the and oh my god I’ll def be back again very soon! Surfing lesson was a 5/5; however had to take one star down for the parking. Horrible car park! Ubered to and from the place but was glad to have someone accept both rides, as drivers also found the car parking area really bad. Booked a one night camp there, was fine and clean but won’t book an accommodation there next as I found it hard to sleep with all the rain and wind sounds.
