If you want a good traditional pub you can't go wrong with this one .thanks for making us feel welcome We stumbled upon this pub on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch after exploring the area. What a gem! Super dog friendly, our German shepherd was free to roam around the pub and get cuddles from the locals at the bar and we had a fantastic fish and chips. Great variety of independent and locally produced beers too. Thank you Nigel for the warm welcome, we’d definitely visit again! Friendly welcome to lost hungry travellers. This local felt like a family glad to welcome us. We got lost in the Welsh hills of Aberystwyth and stumbled on Nigel's pub. He chatted with us fed us and sent us on the right way home. All together a wonderful experience. Popped in on our way back to our air b n b. A very local pub with a really warm welcome for us from the owner and the locals. We both had the homemade pie! It was absolutely delicious and came with mash and peas! Generous portions and not overpriced. We arrived at 2.45pm asked if kitchen was open for lunch ? Yes. We ordered Druid Mixed Grill & chips, Steak & Ale Pie with mash and peas. The meals were huge and delicious. The barman/ owner was very friendly as were the locals. Highly recommended stopping in to this little pub in Goginan just out of Aberystwyth. We had dinner and drinks here our first night of holiday ! Nigel made us feel so very welcome and invited us to sit in main bar with “ the locals” we had a good chat and a giggle and felt most welcome . We were invited back for the quiz next day but unfortunately we didn’t make it as we were travelling? Which was a real shame ! The food was great and they did not skimp on portions . A very lovely local pub . Very nice owner and the regulars were welcoming .
