Arrived on time and told there was a delay of 10 mins. Okay. After waiting 30 mins, asked where it was, got told they were just going to start it, it would be ten minutes. Ordered a large and chips, portion was really small. No difference is size of from a small, small portion of chips. No apology for the delay. No sense of urgency for the staff, huge pile of cooked fish, but only serving one order evwry five minute. We've been using these since 2021 and always been really happy. Let down today. On a welding job in Salisbury ( what a beautiful city a must visit ) found the classic bar , highly recommend fresh as & steaming hot , best value chip buttie £2.90 , down south everything is more expensive , chip portions are huge so be careful , here are pis of menu 😋 Nice as always. Not a lot of but lots of batter , sausage was Bland but covered in batter the were plenty and quite tasty. The batter wasn't proper standard batter .The food wasn't overpriced for what it was and it was edible. To be honest if you want decent and go to a restaurant and pay their prices. We probably won't use again . Best and we've had for a long time 👍 Amazing but it takes at least 30 minutes for your order to be ready. As a Northerner this is shocking. But the food is great. It's a local and shop( other things available). Cooked to order so you invariably need to wait a short while but can now do online. Go there repeatedly- best in Salisbury. Good portion of ,small size portion of ,would recommend you phone your order in or you could be waiting a long time ,parking can be chaos sometimes. Really slow service, over 30 min waiting for sausage and chips. Last time I come here.
