Beautiful refurbished village pub. Welcoming with service A group of about 12 visited for drinks and meals a few weeks ago. The service was excellent with very friendly waitresses and bar staff. Great menu choices, everyone was happy with what they chose. Would highly recommended and will definitely return. Thank you Brilliant place, excellent food, and everyone we met was fantastic. I went to meet friends who were staying there. They couldn't fault the place. We had fish and chips, sirloin steak (medium to well done) and a Welsh Lamb curry medium spiced. I had the latter with half rice and half chips. I couldn't fault it apart from it being classed as a medium, not that I minded. The pieces of lamb were cuts of Lamb. A great choice of lagers, but not many beers. Service was and a diner at another table also had the Welsh Lamb Curry. We all cleared our plates. Apologies, for not taking photos of my meal. Went for a curry last Thursday and it was really to see the pub busy. The curry was really and considering we hadn't booked were weren't waiting long at all. Really impressive service considering how busy they were. The wait are a credit to them! OK selection of lager but could do with more ale. 10/10 Out for the food especially the Sunday carvery. I have never tasted anything like it. Staff are very friendly. Well done. Lovely chilled atmosphere. Beautifully decorated. Very clean Booked the family room at the Bedlinog Inn as we were attending a rugby match in Cardiff, but didn't want to stay in City. The room was immaculately clean, the beds were extremely comfy, and the breakfast was excellent! The were all lovely, friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately didn't have a great experience. Although had booked in advance when we turned up the restaurant was full so were seated in the bar but had to sort own seats and tables. Waited over 1 1/2 hours for food, one person missed completely they did eventually provide her food free of charge but after we had all finished. To finish the night then accused for not paying bill when we had plus tip which certainly wasn't deserved. Excellent, lovely staff, very friendly rooms very comfortable, breakfast Had my wedding reception here on the 9th august, me and my husband were looking to host a personal gathering following our ceremony and and Alyson (owner) and the chef Ian were amazing from the start. Ian is very well known for his food and came up with a lovely menu for us for our special occasion. Alyson couldn't do enough and made all the extra touches possible. The rest of the are all super friendly. Fabulous country pub all year round! Thankyou all we had a brilliant day! Booked Sunday lunch as all previous meals in the past had always been amazing, unfortunately the new management have a long way to go to get the food to the standards we had come to expect. Serving not knowing what’s on the menu, dried up beef, Yorkshire puddings that resembled pieces of coal they were that black and veg that had seen better days. No cutlery or condiments on the table which when asked for you were made to feel like it was an inconvenience, needless to say we won’t be returning unless there is some vast improvement.
